Dear all

Obviously we're not going to meet tomorrow, but I propose we have a quick skype (or other suitable tech anyone suggests) at 6:30pm. Does that work for everyone?

Key things:
- Miriam, can you find out the issue date of the next Nut, and whether it might be possible to amend our article in light of the ceilidh being cancelled? Once we know those things we'll decide tomorrow whether to pull it (if that's even possible). I think of preference I'd run an amended article over postpone to the next issue - it's an uplifting story that I think people will be happy to read about.
- I suggest we continue with grant applications, but postpone all corporate sponsorship type activities.
- For crowd funding, I don't think we should stop it or take it down, but I think we want to slow down our advertising of it. So no Facebook posts for the time being. We can discuss our strategy for that tomorrow.

Stay well, and stay positive.

Martin

We can worry about dart when we can worry less about keeping people alive

Hi all,

In the light of what is going on re Covid 19, DART fundraising is going to have to be reconsidered. I'm not saying it can't be done at all but obviously you have to take into consideration that the ceilidh will most likely be cancelled and it may impact on planned crawls - this will obviously impact money raised.

In addition, I'd say it's best to hold off before promoting crowdfunding until there is a clearer idea of what is going on. People are not necessarily going to want to give to a dance team right now - but potentially once the dust settles something along the lines of "we're looking past coronavirus to heading to DART". It's not a suitable thing to say at the moment but you might be able to do something later.

I know what's happening is not the end of the world and life goes on, I think you just need to be sensitive as to how you approach it.

Hope that's not too depressing!

Thanks,
Becky

We no longer have visitors on Wednesday 18th as their meeting has been cancancelled. So suggest reverting to having the meeting then, unless everyone has already rescheduled their lives.

Hi All,

First things first, although we are scheduled to have our next meeting on Wednesday next week (18th), neither Martin or I can make it as we have family visiting. So, we need to reschedule. If you can't make 25th March please shout now!

In terms of progress - seems like a fair amount has been done in the last few weeks:
  • Miriam has produced the first draft of an article for the Nut. Pretty sure deadline for copy is 14th March - Can you share the latest version please @Miriam? If everyone could provide comments asap so we can get them incorporated that would be fab. I can look out a suitable image from the photos folder (maybe a popcorn??)
  • Ceilidh - ticket page is live, just need to keep up the buzz on the old social media for this. Flyers went out at IVFDF and we have an ad in Folk London. The TR page has now posted about this, we'll probably get twitter on board too
  • Grant Applications seem to be bubbling along, but do shout if there is anything anyone can help with Emma / Hannorah! Is the EFDSS and Arts Council ones now on the list?
Other things that I'm not sure where we are with, if it's all ticking along nicely that's great, if you've forgotten about it, here's a wee reminder!
  • Postcard thank yous for the crowdfunding page
  • Emma - can you share your letter for grant applications at some point please?
  • Tori - list of folk world avenues for applying for money
  • Hannah TD - list of corporate people we could contract / formal letter draft
  • Hannah TD - DART page on the TR page
  • Car hire
  • Day practice doodle - coming soon! (wanted to wait for the crawl doodle to be out the way)
  • Logistics check spreadsheet - also coming soon
And as a reminder - we have a folder on the Ravens G Drive if you want to store anything there too for reference / sharing with others:

Thanks,
Hannah
