On Monday next we have a Chilts practice and on the weekend of the 11th I will be in sunny Devon.
For the following event I will have had a few more practices but I am not sure what is happening with the skirt material.
Cheers Janet
Dear all,
I hear there was a bit of discussion last night regarding events, and we
thought the best thing to do would be to put details into an email. So:
1. THRALES DAY OF DANCE
The Thrales Day of Dance is Sunday 11th November. It is held in one pub,
the Prince William Henry, just south of Blackfriars Bridge. The day itself
is actually an afternoon event - it starts at 12.30 (so maybe meeting 12?)
and goes on until 4ish. It is a very relaxed, cheerful sort of event.
There are usually 8/9 teams there, so we'll probably only do one or two
dances - this may make taking large numbers of people rather silly, as
they'll just hang around and do nothing.
2. MABEL GUBBINS DAY
Mabel Day is Sunday 2nd December (why are both of these Sundays?), and is
held in Oxford. We haven't yet been given a definite start time, but it's
a bit of a tour round pubs in Oxford during the day, probably finishing
around 4ish, and again very low key and relaxed. A bigger team for this
could be useful, as it'll be a full day of dancing.
I believe Lindsey asked for replies by the end of the week, so if you could
reply by Friday night, that'd be great. Personally, I can't do Mabel Day
but I can do Thrales DoD.
Thanks in advance,
Rachel :)
