Hello all,
As some of you may know, Clive Boutle (Thrales's tommy) runs a publishing company. He is publishing a new edition of the book The Wanton Seed, and there is going to be a book launch at C#H on the 10th June.
Clive just rang me and asked that I tell as many people as possible. I know some of you are folkies and would enjoy it, those who are not folkies should come anyway and support Clive!
Tell your friends. Cheers.

Hi All
I tripped last night in a restaurant & sprained my other ankle. So now can hardly walk at all, even with cutches. What are the chances?! And what a dick am I?! :-)
4 hours in A&E later & they said no broken bones (again), but got to go back next week to assess ligament damage - in both ankles!!
I think it's safe to say this puts me out for dancing for at least the next month or two, but I'll know more next week. Meantime I'm going to change myself to a 'no' on the Google doc for the next few events - just to be on the safe side. Really really sorry if this causes any issues for the team.
I haven't organised a crawl for Thursday, as assumed if we didn't have a team for Demon Barbers we wouldn't be able to crawl either. If this isn't the case & you do want some pubs let me know, as reckon I could ring round some of our regular haunts near Kings Cross.
I'll update soon on plan for future calls.
See y'all soon

Hello all!
Finally a message from me, sorry you've not had many updates recently hoping to be back on it now :)
1. No practice Monday 25th (Bank Holiday)2. No Demon Barbers3. Musician for 17th June4. Canterbury festival, perform on the Sunday?5. 18th July- Rickmansworth Festival6. Crawls7. Summer practice availability- doodle poll
1. There is NO practice this coming Monday as it is bank holiday, we will be back to normal the following Monday, 1st June.
2. Unfortunately we have had to pull out of the Demon Barber's event due to numbers- Hannorah can I check that you've let them know? As we aren't doing this I have presumed that a crawl also wouldn't really be possible- as we don't have this Monday to finalise things for people.
3. 16th June dance out in Greenwich. We have a side but we need a musician. Laura how would you feel about this? Alternatively I can potentially play, or are there any other ideas? We are a bit limited on numbers, Katherine any help with available numbers?
4. Canterbury Festival on the 28th (Sunday) it appears we can now do this, can any maybes please adjust accordingly unless you really don't know- we are VERY tight on numbers. Ffion can you double check that Patrick is happy to play for us?
5. 18th July- this would no longer be at the Bewl water park but at a festival in Rickmansworth (much easier to get to). Ffion do you have any further info? Everyone please adjust your availability accordingly
6. I've now put crawls on the signup sheet, please let us know availability
7. With the summer coming we need to make sure it is worth coming to practices so please let us know the availability!http://doodle.com/y9kxgservfdb4s6q
Signup sheet here:https://docs.google.com/document/d/11XHQc6j0g7HQto7rhOs6k0bfkw-XmFb8jm…
Thanks all, have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend :)

Apologies all for being rubbish. I'm just feeling both mentally and physically exhausted, and so think I'll have to give tonight a miss. Sorry for not letting you know sooner.

Hi All
I twisted me ankle last week playing netball.
It's big, sore & starting to go purple. But an X-ray has confirmed it's definitely not broken - which is a relief.
I won't be able to dance for at least the next couple of weeks. I'm also going to cry off coming to practice (as a supportive observer) tomorrow as walking is still a bit tricky & the stroll from Bank station alone would probably take me over half an hour! But I'll defo come next week.
The doctor said it could be up to 6 weeks before it's better but I'm fairly confident it will be less. That said, can you check we can still form a set for the Kings Cross crawl/Demon Barbers dancing on 28th without me, as I can't be sure I'll be dancing by then.
If you can't - let me know as I should probably make Demon Barbers aware that we may have to pull out. It will have a bearing on whether I make a start on getting the pubs (most of which I think I can do by phone as they're regular haunts for us).
Really sorry about this! So annoying but in some ways it's the best possible timing as it's post-DERT & right at the end of the netball season. :-)

See you next week.

... For practice tonight, as got netball beforehand.
I know I'm usually late anyway, but thought I'd forewarn this time in case you thought I wasn't coming.

Hello all,
Thought you might be interested to see my efforts at creating a website for Tower Ravens:
http://towerravensrapper.tumblr.com/
Of course, I've only used a tumblr blog as the basis of the site, but I tend to do this for all my own websites and thinks it works well (also means you don't have to pay hostage fees). If people think it's worth it we can buy a domain name and have it direct to this site.
I'm trying to figure out how to add a gallery of photos. But if you think I've missed anything or have any suggestions then let me know.

Hi Everyone
For those of you who are down to dance at this, see below for the details.
Dancing starts at 6.45, so reckon we'd need to be present, dressed at ready by 6.30. We're sharing a 45 min dance spot with 3 Morris teams (2 we know), so reckon we'll probably get 2 dances in max.
I've explained it's too expensive for some of the team to buy tickets. She says she thinks it's fine for us to not all go to the show if that's the case.
Address is: Kings Place, 90 York Way, London, N1 9AG (5 mins from Kings Cross station).
Can someone send me the standard team biog & a team pic to pass on to them? Or better still send it direct to Laura(a)demonbarbers.co.uk
Finally, I can organise a crawl around this area that we can do afterwards. But let's chat about that next practice.
Thanks
H
