As we no longer have a demonstration set for the new dance I thought it
might be useful to send out the notes. They include a list of figures, a
brief description of the figure, some diagrams from above and timings, as
we performed it at DERT (what we are currently aiming towards).

Hope the title hasn't scared you, but I'd be very grateful if you could all do one of the following asap and before 1st July if possible.
We now have an official bank account with HSBC, so you either need to alter your existing standing order for subs, or set up a new one (details below). Our subs cover the cost of the hire of our lovely practice venue, insurance, swords, spare kit and materials and extras such as DERT registration.
We try to keep subs as low as possible and we may decide to alter them at the next AGM, but for the moment, we need to get all our money into the new account, so that we're better able to review our financial position (which should be healthy enough, thanks to some successful crawls in the last couple of years.)

The subs are £12 per calendar month, payable by bank transfer on the 1st of each month. Current students pay a discounted rate of £8 per month.
I have just altered my standing order and it's very simple procedure. Just give the new sort code, account number and reference and you're done. It's equally easy to set up a new standing order with your bank.
Some people owe more for past subs, kit, etc. I shall contact you individually to let you know how much you owe and to discuss how you'd like to pay it.
A few people may be owed money for various expenses and we should soon be in a position to repay this, so let me know if this applies to you. (e.g. Hannorah - blue bags, Ffion - kit and sword bag, Laura - hoodies, Kate - shoe laces etc?) No one should pay for Ravens stuff out of their own pocket because we should have enough money to cover everything.

1. Just so everyone knows- I have contacted Northwood to say we can't attend their event in France, as much fun as it would be to make us international it seemed like a lot of money for what seemed to be a morning of dance on not ideal floors.
2. As mentioned before the Ceilidh spot for July is cancelled but we have been invited to do the same thing September 18th at the Portico Gallery (again West Norwood). This is now on the signup sheet so if you could start filling in availability it would be much appreciated!
Laura W I've contacted the guy re. getting you a couple of tickets and I'll let you know once got a response.
3. Sheffield Steel Weekend in October- I have contacted them to say Nikki can't make it to see if they could possibly shift the date. I have said we're happy to try and get people playing if they can't budge though Laura S you were kind of offered up alongside Kate. If this sounds like your worst nightmare please let us know so we can rethink!

4. We are not having a June crawl, for various reasons it's not quite happened this month but hopefully that gives us some extra time to build up confidence in Westerhope and Circle Dance :)
5. Details for Rickmansworth will hopefully follow soon- for those of you not at practice, we need to be there 10-10.30 and will be dancing in the morning and afternoon. I haven't had times yet but I will let you know asap. For anyone concerned that Nikki isn't there I think Patrick is kindly playing for us.If you are a maybe and know that you can become a yes please let us know as numbers are rather thin on the ground!

Hi All
I won't be at practice on Monday, as I'm 'on tour'.
Forgot any images of musical or sporting performance, I'm on tour of UK Mail sites across the Midlands. They've just picked my charity as their chosen charity for the next couple of years so I'm presenting to staff across a few of their sites on Monday & Tuesday so won't be in London.
OK, there won't be dressing rooms, booked out venues, autograph signings or band t-shirts but I am hoping for a few encores & possibly recruiting a few more super-fans for Age UK. :-)
My right ankle is still a bit of a mess so I won't be dancing for at least the next two weeks anyway. But will be at practice on 29th.

Hi everyone,
As mentioned last night I am having a 'bring and share' Picnic/BBQ to
celebrate (finally) moving to London in my newly discovered garden. Though
now I have planned this, it will probably rain…
Other halves welcome, and if you would like to contribute any food could
you let me know so I can avoid having loads of the same thing.
BYOB, though there will be Pimms and *GIN* there already at the very least…
13:00 at 111 Cotswold Gardens, NW2 1PE.
Nearest stations are Cricklewood Thameslink (though I think there are
replacement buses this weekend) and Brent Cross/Golders Green (Northern
Line) are both around 20mins walk (less on a bus). West Hampstead/Kilburn
(Jubilee) are probably more a bus ride away (though maybe only half an hour
walk from Kilburn). There are also lots of buses that stop fairly close to
my house.
Hope to see some of you there!

Hello all,
I've been contacted by the organiser of the ceilidh to say they're very sorry but can't really have two teams at their spot and they already have Blackheath.
They were rather apologetic and offered a couple of frwe tickets so if anyone is interested I can ask although not too many!
They have invited us instead as solo spot in September although that's a dif venue so I'll give full details when got them.
