Hi everyone
Really sorry to say that I have done something nasty to my back and I think it would be unwise to attempt longsword today. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. I was so looking forward to doing some actual dancing.
Sorry also for the short notice. I had hoped to come, but it's painful today. Fine to stand, walk, negotiate stairs and lie down, but running and sitting are a problem. It also means that I'll probably need to miss tomorrow's practice. As you know, it doesn't come naturally to me to be sensible; I must be getting soft in old age.
I hope you have a really enjoyable afternoon and hope to see you all on Thursday, fingers crossed.

Hello all,
Just a reminder for those who haven't done long sword or, like me, just hadn't thought about it - there is no stepping therefore we don't need to wear rapper shoes on Sunday. Obviously flat and comfy that won't fall off [😊]
Ta,

Hi All,
Thanks everyone who came to Mabel Day - was great fun! and thank you to
everyone helping me fill in the sign-up sheet on Monday night - really
helps with being able to get back to people.
1. Longsword
2. Crawl
3. Christmas Party
4. Sign-ups
1. Longsword will be at 2 on Sunday in the practice hall. We've got plenty
of time to learn some traditional figures and have a think about how we
would Raven-ify them. I also guarantee a cake-break... I've checked over
the numbers, and in an ideal world it might be good to have 1 more if one
of the maybe's were to become a yes... then we'd have 8 dancing and 1
music, but we shall be fine if not.
2. Our Christmas Crawl will be on 15th and the collection will be going to
Trussell Trust (https://www.trusselltrust.org/) - thanks for the suggestion
Ffion!
3. Christmas Party - I think we now have responses from everyone - so we'll
be going Ice-Skating!!! (Time to be confirmed) and then having festive
snacks afterwards. Anyone not skating, feel free to come and watch the rest
of us sliding about and then we can all go and be festive. If you want to
double check your response, I've filled everyone in on the doodle poll
based on what was said on Monday - please do this asap as we need to get it
booked and to sort monies out.
4. Thanks everyone for all your responses on Monday - looking much more up
to date now! There are a few things on the sign-up sheet for you all to put
your names to at the start of next year - crawls and practices mainly. I'll
start bugging you all about it in January.. ☺

See a lot of you at the weekend!
Thanks,

Hi everyone
It's that time of year when we need to renew our membership of Open Morris.
It is possible to obtain personal accident cover as well as team insurance. If you would like to add personal cover, please see below and let me know. I'll sort it.
Personal Accident Cover
This is optional and is available to individual members of Morris sides who are based in the UK and aged between 16 and 70. Open Morris members can obtain this cover only through UK sides to which they belong. Please return payment for PA cover with completed forms direct to Michael Stimpson; his address, email and phone number are all on the form, should you have any queries. Your side contact will receive an emailed application form or you can go to: http://www.open-morris.org/insurance.html and follow the link from that page for the 2-page form once the current form is available.

Hi Ravens
Totally random favour to ask...
If any of you are at a lose-end next Thursday from 5.30 we're (Age UK) in desperate need of carol singers at Sloane Square tube station, ahead of our carol concert 'Love Christmas' at Cadogan Hall. It would be 1.25 hours of singing & collecting.
Volunteers naturally get a free ticket to the concert which is gonna be awesome. Check it out: http://www.ageuk.org.uk/get-involved/events-and-challenges/love-christmas/
