Hi all
Here are the details for anyone coming to Ossett.
CAMPERS:
Campsite opens at 3pm Friday and there is no set departure time on Sunday.
It is at a Cricket club so there are toilets, showers, parking ect. The
Cricket club itself will also be open Friday and Saturday night.
They are offering a reasonably priced breakfast Saturday 7:00-9:30 and
Sunday 8:00-10:30.
FRIDAY
Beerhall in Ossett Town Hall is open 7-11pm. Beer is £2:50 a pint, cider £3
plus they will be serving soft drinks and food (there are several food
alternatives near by).
At 8:15pm there is a beer tasting competition which we are invited to join
with if any representatives of the team are there.
SATURDAY
Procession leaves from the campsite at 9:45, some of us will help to pull
the beercart and the rest will process behind. There will be a van to take
bags to the market place.
There will be a ceremonial moving of beer at 11am and then we go off to
dance spots/pubs around the town- I don't have our schedule yet.
The Beerhall is open 11am-11pm.
SUNDAY
Teams will dance from around 11am-1pm in the market place - this spot is
optional but I think if we still have a team we should at least do a couple
of dances.
If you don't have it already my number is

Hello all,
Sorry I couldn't make practice. It sounds like we had trouble with numbers so hope you guys managed something! Was there a decision on the crawl in the end?

Hi All
Two quick points:
1. I can't make practice on Monday, but have a set of swords.
Is there anyone who is going, that works/lives round Euston/Kings Cross/Holborn/anywhere central who I can give the swords to?
2. It doesn't look like enough people are around for a crawl on Thursday. So unless I hear differently I won't organise one.
I'm a 'yes', but on the 'maybe' list as I can't edit docs from my phone at the mo', Becky - would you mind changing? Also if more of the 'maybes' are a yes then just me me know & I'll do us a Holborn crawl.
Thanks

Hi all
I'm still not fixed yet (although on the mend!) so won't be at practice
this week, my apologies. Here is the plan for the next practices:
16th May- Practice Jubilee with Jo at 1 (for Ossett Beer cart) and begin
teaching Piccadilly with Reesha at 2 and others learning second positions.
23rd May- Run through Jubilee and Piccadilly sets for Ossett beer cart
followed by teaching/practicing Westerhope.
30th May- Bank holiday: no practice
Have a productive practice and see y'all soon

Hello all,
Sorry for the continuing changing plans. As I expect most people noticed Katherine wasn't well on Monday, she's been to the doctors and has to go to the hospital on Saturday for a scan. She's also been recommended just to rest in the meantime.
Apologies for so many changes of plan- obviously if anyone wants to go to Brighton anyway you can do, I'm sure they'd be happy to see some Raven's faces to know we didn't just skive off!
Have a lovely week and see you on Monday, if Katherine isn't up to teaching one of the rest of us will, in case please just email the team address rather than Katherine.
See you next week,
Becky xx
Hi guys, just realised I'm still getting copied into all your messages - it's lovely to see what you're up to but unfortunately I didn't make it past the initial taster sessions as I moved away. I now live in Scotland so am unlikely to ever be able to join your team - if you could please remove me from the mailing list it would be much appreciated. Great to see that the team is going strong though! All the best,Hannah
Hello all!
We are confirmed for Brighton thanks to Hannorah :-) so unless you hear otherwise please be at the Pavilion Garden Cafe at 10.30. We don't have to dance until 11 but that may include getting to spots and assembling.
If you're having transport problems please get in touch with Katherine or myself.
Thanks,
Becky

Hi folks,
Sorry to hijack Ravens chat with a favour, but was hoping you might be able
to help me with something. Some of you may know I'm trying to set up a
social enterprise (which is why I miss a practice a month at the mo). I am
currently doing some user research relating to it and I really need as many
people as possible to fill in a survey I've made. The venture is kind of
related to the work I do with older people at the moment, as well as good
design, so I especially need to hear the views of anyone over 50
(especially men), people with disabilities and anyone who has caring
responsibilities for another. I would be so grateful if after you've filled
it in you could forward it onto a few friends, parents, grandparents,
colleagues, folky older men and veteran rapper teams(!) whoever! It only
takes about 10-15 minutes to do and you can enter draw to win £100 too so
there's a bit of an incentive :)
I can't really tell you much more than that at the mo in case I skew the
results. I'll tell you more when you've filled it in! (I know some of you
know already - but that's fine you can still fill it in - just be honest!).
It's here: http://goo.gl/forms/frvruK28fM and is a very socially beneficial
and interesting way to spend a rainy Tuesday evening ;)
Thanks a million times
Laura xx
Hell all,
Please be aware we do STILL NOT HAVE A CONFIRMED TEAM for Brighton. Hannorah is extremely generously looking into re-organising her weekend in order to fill the gap but it depends on other people so keep posted for confirmation of what is happening here.
Please find attached the schedule for the day, remember we need to be there from around 10.30-5ish!
In other news please see the signup sheet:In particular consider crawl on 26th and London folk Festival (3rd September) I am aware the latter is ages away but we're advertised as running a workshop (even though we've not been asked!?) if I knew if we had a team or not we can chase Graham with more or less urgency. Obviously if we could do it, it'd be ace. Please also consider Carshalton DoD on the 8th October.

Thanks all, I'll keep you posted re. Brighton.
