Hi all,
Here's a video of the clog dance I was failing to teach.
Ottawa Waltz.MOV
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G69uSuL190xmGnkrwJzR6C191qV74qva/view?usp=…>
It's called Ottawa waltz and makes a bit more sense with the music! The
tune is Crested Hen's but I imagine other French Canadian/French tunes
might also work.
I haven't asked for Joan's permission to share this video of her dancing so
best not to share it even further, but I couldn't think of another way of
showing how the dance is done to that tune.
Thanks,
Ellie
Hi All,
Please find the long awaited minutes attached. I've included the full
officer reports which I received in the appendices along with the summary
of actions done/not done from last years AGM and the 2018 EGM. These are
separate for ease of reading, but I will likely combine for the final
version to go on the G Drive
As it is probably a bit tight to read this over by Friday (before I go away
for 2 weeks), I am going to very kindly allow you all until 10th Dec to
raise any queries/amendments etc. Though obviously I am happy to have
comments as soon as you have them :)
Summary of actions below.
Thanks,
Hannah

Hi all,
Having checked out where the theatre is (7 minutes walk from my work) would
like to extend the invitation to meet at my office - after work on Friday
people hang around and drink and play video games. Can't promise cider but
there'll probably still be beer and there's a Sainsbury's across the road,
and we have many loos that people could change in. The address is building
4, 2 Old Street Yard, it's right next to Old Street Station.
Let me know if you'd be interested :)

Hello all,
I have confirmed Kimpton as we now have enough people to say yes and they were chasing for an answer. I know this probably effects people's responses to the event a week later (Hammersmith) if you could update that one it will be very helpful!

P.s. don't forget to say if you can make my wedding 😊
Hello all,
Having stared at the numbers for a while it looks like the Friday 14th is the best date for us to crawl.
I haven't double checked but I imagine this is when Thrales are crawling so either we go to a totally different area, or we ask if they want to buddy up. Although that probably gets complicated for giving to charity.
Emma you actually make a huge difference as we go from only being able to dance jubilee to being able to do all of them. So if you could come that would be great, please let me know!
Thanks,
Becky x

Hello all,
Thinking ahead to tomorrow 1. absences, 2. clog, 3. Plan 4. kit
1. Absences: Miriam, Hannah and Martin (Patrick coming instead)
2. Clog: Those who are interested in learning a new dance, please arrive for 7 so that we can discuss what we want to learn next. For those who want to just practice the existing dance please just make sure you're there and ready to run-through at 7.25.
3. Plan for the evening. We'll do some more tumbling practice. I don't want to spend ages on this but want Rachel-Anne to keep doing it regularly and give anyone else a go as we had various people vaguely interested. Hannah TD I don't know if a couple of doubles would be helpful? You seem really solid on this now, but please do speak up if it would help 😊
I know we have a crawl, but the focus will be making sure we're happy with the positions for Friday night (as well as more generally for the crawl).
4. KIT: Tori and Fliss (if she's happy) will be dancing out this week. They don't have kit yet so if you're there tomorrow but not out on Thursday/Friday it would be amazing if you could bring skirt/petticoat so we can make sure they have something that approx fits. Tori and Fliss it's down to you to buy the tshirts!
I want the Christmas crawl decided tomorrow. If you haven't filled in already do so now! https://doodle.com/poll/sq4hhwu33kiiuhwn

Hi All,
I'm just going to forward this one on rather than summarising - our
glorious leader is getting married! Please fill in the sign-up sheet so we
know who we've got for dancing. ☺
Martin and I have already booked a room in the Riverside premier inn as
they were going cheap. Happy to help people figure out transport etc.
nearer the time.
Thanks,
Hannah

Subject: [TR Committee] Ken and Becky Wedding Invite
To: info(a)towerravens.org.uk <info(a)towerravens.org.uk>
Dear Lovely Ravens,
You are invited to our wedding 20th April 2019 which is the Saturday of the
Easter weekend and we would love you to be there with us for the evening.
The venue is the Barns Hotel Bedford MK44 3SA, it's about a 10 minute taxi
ride from Bedford Train Station or, if you're very organised, there are
buses that get you pretty close. You are welcome to join us from 5pm, when
a mini session will start in the hotel pub, after that we will be having
ceilidh, 7:30-10 with dance spots for our rapper teams.
There are plenty of rooms at the hotel, as well as alternative hotels in
Bedford itself, there are also trains back to London until about 11.30 and
they take just over an hour. All this info can be found on the invites
