Hi guys,
On the afternoon of April 3rd by friend and I are having a birthday picnic in Greenwich park. It's a very casual thing, with probably a trip to the market for icecream at some point (or we'll hole up in a cafe if it's freezing). We haven't agreed a time or a meeting place yet, but probably from 1.If I have you on facebook I think I've invited you to the event, if not then this is your invite. I don't expect you all to come trekking down to South London, but it'd be lovely to see you if you're free. Partners/visiting friends etc. are all welcome, just let me know.
Good luck with DERT if I don't see you before!Sinéad

Hi all
Meeting in the Blind Beggar at 7 (I will probably be there early for food).
Then going onto:
The White Hart
The Archers
The White Hart (different one)
The Dispensary
The Oliver Conquest
Princess of Persia
The Brown Bear
Nearest tube at the end will be Aldgate East/Tower Hill
Plan for the day practice is to start 2 on Sunday in the church hall. The
first hour or so will be Westerhope practice, (I'm aware we won't have any
music but Becky has offered to give it ago or if Ffion could bring a
whistle?). After that we will be practicing Picadilly with the main DERT
set however if people could stick around and watch us from the outside for
a bit I would be very grateful.
See you soon
Kx
Anyone fancy responding to this? We must have a pic of a tumble, or maybe we could get one on Thursday.

Subject: [TR Committee] Dancing On!
Dear Open Morris members,
I’m excited to say hello as the new editor of Dancing On! You might
remember me from my previous time as editor of the magazine, about 5 years ago.
I’m thrilled to be back working with OM and the lovely new committee, and
looking forward to hopefully producing some great magazines.
The next edition is due out in time for the JMO NDOD, and the deadline to
send in articles is April 1st. You could tell us about upcoming events, report
on past ones, send in pictures or start a discussion about anything morris
related you can think of. We’d love to hear from as many member teams and
individuals as possible, so don’t be shy, send in something! You could even send
in requests for things you’d like to see in the magazine.
I want to have some interactive content in every edition, so to ‘get things
off the ground’, I want you to send in all your airborne dancing pictures. It
can be quite an art to capture a dancer just at the right moment as they leave
the ground for a giant kick, leap or caper, so please send in your best examples
for the glory they deserve!
You can contact me through the website, or email to dancingon(a)open-morris.org. Apologies
if anyone receives this message in error.
Best wishes,
Jen
Dancing On!

1. Final reminder! PLEASE PAY SUE £30 for accommodation, if for any reason you can't pay- need to pay in installments, or aren't sure you're going please contact Sue ASAP. If it is a case of maybe not going please also let Katherine know.
2. Please check out the signup sheet, in particular consider:14th Brighton Morris DoD3rd-4th June Ossett Beer Cart Festival (this happens near Wakefield, if you can make it on the Saturday that's enough please just say so on sign up) Katherine is checking overnight camping etc.5th-6th November Thrales Day.
if you get time please consider any of the festivals listed at the end.

3. We had brief discussion of Motley Morris inviting us to dance outside the Cutty Sark again, they've given a load of dates which are all Wednesday nights. Sue suggested we could do a crawl in Greenwich and pop by? Last year it was very hard work as it was such a large space and so few teams so i think we felt very self conscious. I think we were leaning towards declining but should anyone like the idea of a Greenwich crawl or just really want to be involved again please let us know by next Monday and we'll go from there.
4. Crawl on Thursday is in Whitechapel! I know Katherine has done the pubs and just needs the time to put them in an email to everyone. We'll be starting either in the Blind Beggar or the pub right next door to it (please look out for confirmation from Katherine).
We haven't had a kit check in a while but please try and make an effort to have shiny shoes etc. so we all look presentable.Personally my aim is to be more cheery- I was a real grump yesterday! looking forward to putting our work into practice :)
5. There is a day practice on Sunday 2-7 again. I believe Katherine is hoping for about an hour or so busting through Westerhope and then the focus will be on the DERT set. Please come along if you can, all help is appreciated!
Ta all,
Becky
P.s. i have confirmed the ceilidh spot at Cecil # on June the 18th but have asked for times etc. so we have a little more info.
Hey all
Thank you to everyone who came along yesterday, I think we had a productive
practice which hopefully we can build on tonight.
I'm going to head to Ice Wharf Weatherspoons (5 minute walk from Camden
Town station and 10 minute walk to Cecil Sharp house) pre-practice if
anyone fancies joining me :)
See you later
Katherine x
P.S. please keep an eye out just in case the room is booked last minute and
we have to make emergency plans.
Hi all
Next Monday the Trefusis room, with mirrors, at Cecil Sharp House is currently free and we can use it (many thanks Laura!). Therefore I would like to move next weeks practice to Cecil Sharp in Camden, please let me know if this is a problem.
Also if they get a paid booking we won't be able to use it so please keep an eye on your emails just incase we have to make a last minute change.
See most of you on Sunday,
Kx
P.S
- don't forget to practice stepping, especially left foot doubles
- if you would like to watch popcorn again for inspiration here is candy rapper doing it (2:55 min) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=74hFA7-xryY
Please see the message below.

Our specialist healthcare, training and employment teams are dedicated to helping homeless people recover from their experiences and really turn their lives around for good. Last year our Skills and Employment team supported over 2,400 people in London and 300 people in Bristol, helping more than 200 people into jobs. Ultimately 1,500 people moved on from our accommodation into independent living or somewhere where they could receive a high level of support.
