Becky's just reminded me that I never confirmed the details for the music practice session. At practice a few weeks ago we agreed on the date of 4 November which is next Wednesday. I'm currently trying to find a pub. I had hoped to book the Sekeford in Farringdon but the internet tells me it's closed down!! I'll try some other places with upstairs rooms this week.
Do you want to make it 7.30pm like practice time or does anyone want to request it be earlier/later? I probably can't get there until 8 but you can start without me.
If you look back through your emails there will be one from Nikki with the tunes we'll be playing.

Thanks for everyone coming yesterday, some good work on Jubilee and Piccadilly and a very exciting advancement in getting Laura W and Hannah double tumbling- well done!
For anyone unsure I can confirm the aim is to meet at the Old Nic in Holborn at 7 on Thursday. this should mean we can make a solid start on dancing! If you won't be able to make it until 7.30 please let Hannorah know asap!
Urgent signup needed for the Hamstead Ceilidh spot, if we haven't got a team in the next few days we're going to have to decline which seems a shame. For everyone wondering we would get free entry into the ceilidh so could be fun :)
I have confirmed Mabel Day, if you are a yes and become a no please let us know asap, same for Thrales day as it effects what we can dance out.

1. Firstly quick push at the signup sheet:
A. To confirm there will be no team dancing at Janet's birthday as we don't quite have the numbers, please do go along if you're free though as I'm sure it'll lots of fun!
B. Please look at upcoming crawls, Thrales and Mabel Day as all of these (especially the hosted days) need confirming sooner rather than later.

2. We voted yesterday to give everyone who travelled to Sheffield and back for the weekend £20 towards their travel which Sue should be sorting out this week. If it gets too complex doing a bank transfer she may switch to cash.
3. There was a brief discussion of DERT, transportation and accommodation. I know it is very early to consider this but, especially with accommodation the sooner we can get it sorted the better. For this reason please put your name on the signup sheet regardless of if you have told me you are going or not!
4. Through Martin we have been invited to do a Ceilidh spot on 6th November in Hampstead. More information to follow but perhaps check your diaries.
5. Lastly a bit of a complaint! We have decided at the AGM (two years running) that if you can't make a practice you need to let Katherine know ASAP, at least 24 hours in advance unless you're actually ill or held up at work on the day. This isn't happening from quite a few people any more and it makes it very hard to plan what we are going to do. Either Katherine has to assume you aren't there, which means there won't be much for you to do when you turn up, or she has to re-plan every time someone doesn't turn up when they haven't told her. Each re-plan can make for a less focussed practice which isn't fair on Katherine or the people who have turned up!
Moan over, have a good week and see you on Monday :) Sadly I can't be there for Janet's birthday but I hope everyone has a lovely time!
