Probably too late notice for most people but in case anyone reads...
Steel are going to take everyone's luggage who is arriving today from the york to the last pub in one car. This means no one has to drag it around :-)
Can't wait to see everyone!

Hi all,
If you're not going to Sheffield on Friday night you might want to come to The Foxglove Trio's last London gig of 2015. It will be at Lost Horizons Folk Club which takes place in the Birkbeck Tavern near Leyton tube station. Doors open at 7.30pm, music starts at 8pm and we'll be on at 10.10pm. It's £4 or £3 for concessions. More details on facebook via www.facebook.com/thefoxglovetrio

Hello all,
Ss say everyone has beds and air beds so no need to worry on that front. Bringing a sleeping bag would be helpful as they don't think they have quite enough bedding.
They've also warned that there may be some sharing of double beds...but we're all close right??
They're also fine to collect everyone arriving on the Saturday by train so let me know times you want collecting!
Kate they think you'll be in time for breakfast :-)
See you this weekend!

Hello all:
Hopefully there will be one last email coming re. Sheffield confirming if you need bedding and any tips on how to get to The York but for now...
For those not at practice yesterday. Dancing kicks off around midday at The York. I know various people are coming by car so if you are please try to be in the area in plenty of time (not sure re. parking etc.)
I'm afraid I don't know how many pubs we're doing but the areas we will be in are: Broomshill and Crookes in the afternoon. Then Kelham in the evening finishing in the Shakespeare where there is a gin festival for us to get stuck into.
The York where we are all meeting is something of a trek from the station but please see this link for directions and suggested buses. Manny is also meant to be on hand for helping gather us all up but this might have to be done on a bit of an adhoc basis. Kate I know you're getting in about 10.35 and Janet more like 11.30? Lizzie?? If that is wrong let me know ASAP. Anyway if you need collecting get in touch with me on 07988696321

Normal business does not stop because of exciting weekends however! Please still consider the crawl, mabel day and the updated info for Thrales Day.

Special note for Janet's birthday on the 24th. If you can come please let me know on the signup sheet and be at Monday's practice as at the moment we don't really have a team!
Thanks all!
Becky
The plan is:
Friday night SS will base themselves at The Rutland Arms and wait for us all to arrive. It's five minutes walk from the station (map attached), and there is parking nearby too. They will also come and find people if necessary! Accommodation is distributed between a few of us so we'll sort out who's going where once we're all gathered.
On Saturday they have a table booked for 10:30am at The York, where they do really nice breakfast/brunch. This is a good place for people to come and find us, the Tommy has offered to do car runs and they can give directions too.
Aim is to start crawling from around lunchtime-ish (once everyone's arrived of course!) finishing up at Shakespeares Sheffield (aka best pub in the world) there is a gin festival going on!!
Sunday morning the upstairs room at Shakespeares is available (where we often practice) so we can gather there and hang out/mess around with swords/eat snacks (we're good at a picnic buffet...) until people head off.

Hello all,
Also for Monday please consider if you're going to be in Sheffield by 10.30ish what food you would like from this menu (brekky/brunch)
http://www.theyorksheffield.co.uk/.../100_81_090715173022... )
Apologies that some people will miss out on this because I said arrive for midday, this bit of the invite info got to me last night!
They need to know asap so if you will be there then have decided by Monday so I can send them a list- this is because there are a lot of us it makes it much easier on the place when we descend.
I have more details which I'll talk about on Monday and send in an email when I have a little more time.
Cheers B xx
Hello all,
The invite for Mabel day has come in, the 6th of December (Sunday). For those who haven't been this is a day of rapper dancing with various teams hosted by Mabel Gubbins, we tour around a few pubs and finish up with cake and a music session.
Now on the signup sheet, please fill in!

SS have been in touch re. arrival and leaving times for us. Can you please come on Monday with your train times so I can write them all down together and pass them on! If you will NOT be at practice but are going next weekend please email me instead.
Thanks,
Becky xx
Hello all,
1. So if you weren't there..the open practice was rather unsuccessful as no new people showed up! So we want to try again next month on the SECOND Monday (the 9th). Sinead we thought we could plug this to the Folk Soc people as something they can come to especially. WE want to plug this more in advance (although right now is still quite early). Laura S. ideally you could do us a flyer to have out at the uni and C#? If you don't have time please can you allocate it to someone else?
2. Sheffield- so this is fast approaching and next weeks' practice will be in prep for dancing out. As Katherine said if you are going to Sheffield please try and ensure that you come to this practice! I now know everyone's plans for staying over apart from Jo (apologies if I've forgotten) do you need Friday and Saturday or just Saturday?
3. Please think about this months crawl, 29th October- please see the signup sheet!https://docs.google.com/document/d/11XHQc6j0g7HQto7rhOs6k0bfkw-XmFb8j…
Thanks all,
Becky
