Hey all,
Hope everyone has had lovely Christmas's and New Years!
Sorry this is late on before a practice- I will repeat everything at business tomorrow.
Thank you to those of you who replied to the doodle poll regarding crawls running up to DERT, we've got a team for all of them barring the 13th February.
These are now on the Sign Up Sheet-if you have given a response on the doodle poll I have put this information across- if you have yet to respond please do! They are labelled as DERT crawls but the more people the better, obviously anyone competing in DERT will be given the most opportunity to dance but all support is needed and appreciated :)

Please also note the doodle poll regarding the DERT practices (weekends), I will be going through these and contacting the church with the best dates ASAP so if you haven't answered please do:

See you tomorrow!

Great tour last Thursday! Great to be out with our lovely brothers. Thanks everyone 😊
Thanks especially to those brilliant collecting techniques from Thrales (aka Simon) we made £244.08.
Sorry for the delay in letting you know, but I'm frantic atm.
If someone from Thrales would like to give me bank details or any other preferred method, I'll get the money to you asap, but I'm afraid it won't be until next week.
In the meantime, all the very best for a happy and joyful festive season.

Dear All,
Thanks to those who came out on the crawl last night- especially big thanks to Lindsey and Janet for such a fantastic job done on organising the pubs at such a busy time of year and then getting us all from one to the other!
Thrales were also very grateful and in the last pub when quite a lot of people had left really wanted to express their thanks and to say how much fun they'd had and what a brilliantly organised crawl it was. Simon Vaughan was saying he'd like to reciprocate some time after DERT so who knows?
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I'll see you all on the 5th.
Becky xx
All,
After another 2 hours walking by myself, and the several hours from Janet
we have FINALLY go enough pubs for a crawl.
We will be starting in 'The Angel'. Meet at 7 to dance at 7.30. It is a
weatherspoons, so you can get food (though I would highly recommend
'Tortilla' next door).
We will then be heading to:
The Castle
The Angelic
The Nags Head
(Charles and Lamb)
(Island Queen)
Camden Head
Raducals and victuallers
Taproom
Hope and Anchor
The Library
See map:

See you all there on Thursday.
Becky - could you forward to Thrales?

Hi all,
Just to let you know I’m not feeling very well today and think I’ll probably end
up going home from work early. Looking at the list, there are two potential
number 5s (Katherine and Sue, foot dependent) and three potential number 1s
(Katherine, Jo and Lindsey) plus two people at every other position so
hopefully you’ll be OK without me! I’ll get the swords to the pub, probably via
Patrick. I’ll let you know if I perk up later today and think I can make it on
the crawl.

Hello all!
To confirm, last night was the last practice until the New Year. Thank you for those who could make it, we got Laura and Hannorah more experienced in the new dance and got new Laura further along in Jubilee (well done!).
We will not be practising on the 22nd or 29th due to lack of people, but will be back to it on the 5th.
You will hopefully receive an email regarding DERT accommodation soon. The majority of people were interested in the hostel situation so I will look at the details of that, again if you're NOT needing accommodation please let me know asap.
If I don't see you on Thursday have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Hey Ravens
As I'm not going to make the crawl on Thursday just wanted to wish you all a joyful, restful & all-round lovely festive break.
Also wanted to say how much fun I've had with y'all in 2014. It's been a great year for Tower Ravens not only in terms of our performance at DERT, but all the crawls & festivals, all the new members, all the cake & ale we've consumed (well - that's mostly been me - ha ha!).
Anyway just wanted to say how proud I am to be a Tower Raven & how lovely it's been hanging out with you this year!

Hi,
I'm really sorry but I'm quite unsteady today, and dad had to make an unexpected trip up to Derbyshire for my brother so he can't accompany me, so I'm going to miss tonight's practice. Unfortunately I'm away next Monday as well, but I am planning to be at the crawl on Thursday. If I don't see you I hope you all have a lovely holiday.

Hi all,
Sorry I've been rather lax on this, I keep having a bit of a look and not getting anywhere!
Having had a half an hour sit down and hunt I've found these 2 places that look to actually have enough room.
The first one is a hostel but looks like we might be able to book a couple of dorms/ if anyone wanted a separate room, but at least we'd all be in the same place! (I'm aware there are a couple of locations so would need to check the fine details). It looks central and cheap yay.

This is a little way out of the city and is a self catered cottage so a rather different ball game. Looks nice, I think to find out availability I'll need to call up. If you could consider these two for tomorrows practice I'd be very grateful!

Also, I've never booked accommodation for anything, so I'm not even sure how to find it, never mind for big groups! Anyone has any advice or prime websites let me know :)
At the moment we have 16 spaces booked for DERT. Janet I know is staying elsewhere making it 15 needing accommodation. If you do not want to be part of the shared accommodation because you have somewhere you can stay please let me know asap! I know this happened last year in Leeds and that seemed fine for everyone as far as I know..just definite numbers would help :)
Thanks all,
See you tomorrowB xx
