Just had this nice e-mail from the people at Tenterden- well done everyone that went and battled through the rain!
Just a note to say a huge thanks to everyone who came and danced and played music at Tenterden this year. On the whole it seems to have gone very well despite
the amazing amount of 'liquid sunshine' that fell during the procession and also the heavy frost that hit the campsite over night on Saturday. However the rest of the
time was glorious sunshine (only in the UK of course!!!)
For those of you that braved the procession - a huge thank you (its taken a while to dry out all the kit!!!!) It was good to see some public supporting us in our moment
of madness.....................
Thanks again and we hope to see you all again next year (keep the date: Friday 2nd Oct - Sunday 4th October 2015).

2. Also Ebor Morris have invited us back to York next year (12th to 13th September) although it is just to try and get a vague idea of who is available to go again- have a think on if you'd like to go again, I'll bring this up in next weeks business.
3. As always please take time to have a quick look at the Sign Up Sheet, in particular show your availability for the AGM on the 10th November- if you want to have your say on the direction of the team or any suggestions this is the time to share them!

Here's the rough plan for tonight.
7.30 Hello
7.35 Stepping (unless there's anyone who's never seen rapper before in which case demo first)
7.45 Assign numbers and Jubilee with Tommy and tumble
7.50 Split into 2 sets to learn some figures
8.25 Break
8.40 Another demo
8.45 Learning figures
9.15 Performance!
Last time we taught them a simplified version of the dance e.g. Cutting out back 8 and moving fixy instead of flying pixies. I think we should just see how it goes with the dancers we get tonight but we should aim to go from the beginning through to the lock (excluding tumble) and end the dance there. If there are more than 10 people we won't be able to do this much.
Any more volunteer teachers always welcome!

I've been off work ill the last couple of days and feel pretty rotten.
Strangely, the guy we're hiring the car from contacted us today and said it now has a fault. Someone out there really doesn't want us to go.

Just to let you know that due to a duplication on the schedule that Maenads
are not dancing on the marquee stage at the 11am spot (they were down at 2
different spots at that time). It should just be Tanglefoot, Tower Raven
and the USO 1940 dancers at that time!

Hi all,
I think I have somewhat stressed the organiser by leaving it until yesterday to give final numbers BUT he seems to think we'll be ok for parking and I have three weekend tickets reserved for Sue, Laura and Ted which you can pick up from the town hall. Maybe you could pick those up Sue since you'll be there first?
