Hi team
Lovely to see you all last night!
Bit of a last minute request - does anyone fancy playing netball tonight at 6pm in Kennington?
I know it's extremely short notice, but we're a few players down in the Age UK team, so thought I'd ask on the off-chance.
We're a mixed team so any boys who are willing and able would be welcome too.
Let me know if you fancy it.

Friends, colleagues and family members - lend me your ears (well, as this is an email I suppose I really mean your eyes)
I'm running a marathon this Sunday. Of course I'd be a week too late for the London Marathon. But instead of Docklands, the Square Mile and the Embankment, I've opted for the winding lanes and cobbled thoroughfares of Stratford Upon Avon and the slightly less iconic, but equally challenging Shakespeare Marathon.
(To avoid any confusion this is a run and not an epic 26.2 hour rendition of comedies, tragedies and histories by Britain's greatest playwright.)
I'm running for two fantastic charities - Age UK and YouthNet. But more to the point I'm running for the one million older people in the UK who go a month or longer without speaking to anyone they know.
Chronic loneliness is one of the most widespread and devastating effects of growing older. As friends and loved ones move or pass away, and poor health and mobility make it hard to get out and about, thousands of older people find themselves cut off from their communities and completely alone.
Age UK and YouthNet have a solution - a new programme that trains young volunteers to help older people get online, stay connected and feel less lonely. It's simple, it's obvious and it will transform lives.
Remember the last time you heard from an old friend via Facebook or received a funny email from a relative. When that's the only human interaction you'll get all week, that message becomes your connection with the outside world, your reason for living.
Please sponsor me and help Age UK and YouthNet give older people a lifeline-online:

Hi all,
Just to say I'll be back at practice tomorrow night, looking forward to seeing everyone again and of course seeing some rapper.
Also, over Easter I was forced into gaining some tumbling skills, I now know how, though I'm not very good, it's scary!

Hello,
Here are the videos I filmed on Monday- they're both up as 'unlisted', so anyone who has the link can view them but they will not come up in a youtube search.
The dance: http://youtu.be/-vldF_FiEe0
Ffion dancing the Jonty step: http://youtu.be/s_gc87cKGsg
I hope they're useful- see you next week.

I've shared an item with you:

Hi all,
Here's a link to the Google sign up spreadsheet. If you can't access it
because you don't have a google account yourself, you can either sign up to
a google docs account through your non-gmail address, or you can sign in as
towerravensrapper(a)gmail.com to edit it (see Lindsey's email on Mar 6 for
password).
Hope to see lots of signups soon!
Rachel :)
Hey All
Just to recap on what was discussed this evening about forthcoming dance outs.
We are now moving April's crawl to Thursday 25th.
Location remains the same: Camden.
People confirmed are:
Fred & Nicki (aka Quaver Ravens)
Nic
Rachel
Ffion
Sinead
Sue
Hannorah
so looks like we could do with a confident 2 at the least.
To make it easier on this occasion can Josie, Lindsey, Aisha, Janet and Jo please reply to me saying whether they are in or out for 25th, within the next couple of days. This then gives Nic plenty of time to find the pubs.
May's crawl: we're now looking at 17th May. Depending on everyone's availability also/alternatively daytime on 2nd June in Whitstable for Sue's son's Big Lunch event followed by a seaside crawl, followed by more Big Lunch action.
Rather than setting up Doodle polls for 17th May and 2nd June Rach is going to set up a google doc listing these and all other events in the calendar so far and then a 'yes' and 'no' column for each.
So watch this space for this.
Thanks
H
