Hey Ravens
If you still owe money for guests you brought to Bromyard, could you please pay £47.50 per guest into the Ravens account asap (see previous email for bank details if necessary) AND please drop me a quick to let me know you have.
If you still owe money to Hannah for Sidmouth guests, please reimburse her asap.
If you need to claim expenses from the Ravens' account, please let me know by email. eg Rachel-anne for masks, photo album etc? Glitter maybe? Anything else?
re travel reimbursement for recent events, could you please copy the following chart, fill it in and return to me asap? I need to calculate how much we can afford to subsidise and I need everyone's expenses before I can do that. Hopefully we'll be able to cover half of travel expenses but I need to be sure before I start paying out anything.
NB we only subsidise taxis when no public transport is available, e.g. Bromyard on Sunday.
If you drove, just tick the box and I'll try to come up with a suitable amount, probably equivalent to what the majority paid for public transport.
Cheers everyone

Hi all,
Absences: Katherine and Rachel.
As far as I know every one else is back?
Ideally we'll be prepping for the crawl as well as getting new people more confident.
I suspect I might end up leaving work stupidly late again but ideally we'll do clog at 7ish. Might as well keep it going along. I mentioned this is something we need to discuss at the AGM, but if people had any ideas about how they'd like to proceed these earlier times are a good chance.
Thanks,
Becky
Hello all,
Just to confirm that hannah td and Anna are arranging the crawl on Thursday so can go ahead. I'd suggest it finish promptly as I know rachel-anne is having her induction that week and is only coming because without her we don't have a team.
Try not to get stuck at Annas thing. Or speed through some dances and then end at hers?
Anyway, definitely going ahead on Thursday :-)
See you on Monday!
Becky
Hello all,
As you know the September crawl has very minimal numbers and we weren't sure who'd organise it.
Last thing I knew Hannah TD was free but not keen on going by herself having not done it before. Anna has sent me a list of pubs she went round before and very kindly offered to help with organising. Hannah would you still be ok to do it with some company? If so can you let me know and be in touch with Anna? She's away this week coming but will be back the week of the crawl.
Should it all go really wrong and we can't crawl we're still invited to go to her birthday for drinks and cake in the pub!
If this looks like it won't work please let me know asap and I'll set up a doodle poll to figure out an alternative day that week.
Thanks,
Becky xx
Hi All,
Sounds like you had a great practice with the new people on Monday, sorry I
couldn't be there - but have no fear, business is here! There are a couple
more new people who would like to join from the sounds of it - they will be
coming 1st October.
Thanks everyone for efforts at Bromyard, was a lovely weekend and we did
our first workshop! :) Hopefully you're all recovering nicely after it...
1. Upcoming events
2. Sign-ups
1. Based on the sign-up sheet, I'm assuming that we will not be going to
Laura's community festival - sorry Laura, maybe next time! So our next
thing will be the crawl on 27th September, which is looking pretty strong
numbers-wise. I'll leave the lovely crawl organisers to decide in the next
couple of weeks who and where it will be.
2. Sign-ups still one or two crawls this year with a few no replies.
Otherwise we have the invites for Dance on the Moor, Goathland (25-27th
May), Wimborne Minster (7-9th June), Evesham (21st-23rd June). New invite
that was mentioned the other day is the York Festival of Dance September
2019, I have had confirmation that we can go and dance in pubs and just
join everyone else for the procession and show case spot (as long as they
get some of the collection!) we can go for one day or both.
As we'll most likely get an invite to Mabel Day, I've added this one on as
well so we're prepared...
Have a lovely week!
Hannah
Hi all,
Tonight we have no musician and are expecting various new people. This means we don't need much music but we do need some. I was going to bring my bluetooth speaker and play the various recordings we have from Martin and Will. HOWEVER my phone has completely died, as in i need a new one it appears it will never turn on again. Does anyone happen to have bluetooth speaker thy can bring tonight? Apologies this is so late in the day - my phone dying meant i had no alarm so I was late to work and then it's been mega busy!
If not, we'll just go back to good old counting. YAY
Absences: Katherine, Rachel, Sue, Hannah, Martin. Apologies if I've missed anyone else...
Thanks,
Becky
Hey Becky,
I'm feeling a lot better now that I've moved house and sorted my life out a
bit, but still think I should take another 2 months or so, just so I'm
definitely fine this time.
In the meantime, I'd like to invite you all to my joined 74th birthday
party (joined with my boss who is turning 50). It's on the day of the
September crawl (27th), so am aware you might not be in that part of
London. But if you are, you'd probably be welcome to come and dance too.
The pub owner is nice and I can ask her on your behalf. :)
If it helps, I still have the list of pubs I was going to ask for the crawl
I was meant to organise that got cancelled. They are all near where the
party is (St Paul's / Farringdon).
It would be great to have you guys there and catch up, but no pressure. :)
Anna x
Not 100% sure but think you need this to get access to the ticket collection point!
Either print or have on your phones? It hasn't been specified.
Thanks!
Becky
Hi All,
For those going to Bromyard, here's an update on roughly what is happening.
We have currently been asked to do a workshop on the Saturday at 0945 and
the ceilidh spot in the evening at 2100 - both of these will be on the main
site - so short walk from the tent in the morning! Otherwise, we'll likely
have some spots around the town from memory and can find our way to dancing
in pubs! On the Friday night there is the torchlit procession, which at the
moment I have been slightly non-committal as not very many of us were sure
when we would be likely to be arriving. The procession starts at 2030, so
once you've sorted your travel out, if you could let me know yay or nay for
procession if you haven't already. ☺
So... travel. I think I noted before that the easiest option is taking
either the 1523 or 1445 train from London, both of which get you to
Bromyard at 1833 - if you're able to "work from home" on the train, this
would be a good option if taking public transport. The other option
completely by public transport is the 1922 from Paddington which after
waiting about an hour for a bus will get you there at 1225. However, given
that the latter isn't ideal, then the team can reimburse taxis - though
perhaps try and coordinate a group if possible. This brings me onto
getting home, which has the slight difficulty of there not actually being
any buses (except for the 0850) - so again we'd need to look at taxis, or
whether anyone driving could drop people off in Worcester or somewhere on
their way back. I'm not sure who is driving though... The good news is that
the Paddington-Worcester return is £36.15 with railcard (other routes
available)
As it seemed to mostly work with Sidmouth, could you add your travel
arrangements to the Bromyard section at the bottom of the sign-up sheet. If
you happen to be driving and are able to help with any king of lifts on
Sunday / would have space for a person in exchange for petrol money, please
could you add that as well?
In terms of packing things, one thing to bear in mind that whilst it is
pleasant during the day, once sun has gone down, it gets really cold! So
you'll definitely be wanting your hoody, and maybe layers to go under it as
well. 🕶
Thanks,
Hannah
