Firstly thanks all for efforts at both Brockwell and Highams Parks over the
weekend. Have just had an email from Brockwell Park and she loved it
despite the weather being pretty rubbish for us! (and would love to have us
back)
Crawls - the May crawl is off - we just couldn't quite find a day with the
right mix of people to be able to dance out. June is looking very good
though!
Extra Sidmouth Practice - we decided on Monday to have one on 23rd May
(next Wednesday) as there seem to be enough people free for this to happen.
I don't have a confirmed venue as our practice hall haven't got back to me
yet, but please put it in your diaries and I'll let you know on Monday.
In terms of getting to Sidmouth - I will try and sort out some kind of
doodle / thing to help work out who could travel with who and the like and
also look at the options available. However, it may end up just being
easier for everyone to book their own tickets... If so, I will at least
provide some options.

Hi All,
Bit later than usual, but never mind...
No practice on Monday due to the Bank Holiday, next practice will be 14th
May.
Our next events are the Brockwell Park May Fete on Saturday 12th May - we
will be dancing between 2 and 4, so will need to be there 1330 latest ready

Highams Park on Sunday 13th May, meet by 1130 ready to go, dancing at 12,
1315 and probably 3pm as well. It can take slightly onger than you think it

I'll send round more details of these next week.
In the mean time, please take a look at the alternative dates for the May
crawl - currently looking at either 24th May or 7th June (the Thursdays
either side of the original date). At the minute neither is looking
particularly strong, but then we do have a lot of no replies... If you
could fill in asap in case we need to explore other days - would be good to
keep the crawls up so we are on tip top form for Sidmouth.

Saturday. Please be at Brockhall greenhouses by 1.30 in kit and ready. We have to organise with the other Morris side what we want to do but we'll have either 2 or 3 batches of dancing.

I'm sorry this has taken me such a long time. I have been staring at the bit of paper and getting stuck as May looks so hopeless!
For June I have Saturday 23rd:
Me, Ellie, Emma, Katherine, Becky, Anna, Rachel-Anne, Pat and Sue.
For July I have Saturday 14th:
Me, Hannah, Emma, Eleanor, Katherine, Pat, Ffion, Sue, Anna, Rachel, Rachel-Anne
Martin can you confirm if you are available for both?
Laura and Emily - I don't know if you can make one of these? I'm aware you're both trying to fit it in around work so understand if not, just had to go with the majority of people.
MAY - this was a disastor and a half for day practices so I would quite like to try an evening instead. It would be helpful if you could let me know what you would like to get better prepped on for Sidmouth - Anna and Emma the obvious one is Piccadilly (and Rachel-Anne I'd like to build your confidence), Ffion Westerhope. I could do with people learning more positions so that is in my head as well.
--> on Monday please come armed with your diaries so we can try and get a date for the next few weeks. Also anything you would like me to try and prioritise you working on.

But we have Nikki on music and (hopefully) Emily returning to us?? *yay*
Tonight we will be looking at the 2 Park dance outs we have in a couple of weeks as there is no Monday practice next week.
Ffion and Laura can you both make a decision on the Vikings (May 13th) and let me know as makes a difference as to what the focus will be.
The Saturday I have to dance, the Sunday I probably have to dance. This isn't ideal but I will do my best. I'll also have to dance Westerhope today if I have any chance of doing it then. So please bear with me!
In reality this only really needs us to look at Westerhope.
Other things to look at: Hannah TD tumbling for double. Emma, Hannah TD and Anna in with other Piccadillyers (as best we can). Emily and Ellie in Jubilee.
Please consider Bromyard if you haven't already.
Broadstairs - I'll mention again at practice but I think for our sake we'd be better to say no thank you to this as we'll have been at Sidmouth all week, but say we would be interested next year if they were? i.e. not commit but have it on the backburner?

Hi All,
As you may have seen on the Whatsapp we have been invited to Broadstairs
Folk Week 10th-17th August) - for a day/weekend/week whatever we fancy.
This does immediately follow Sidmouth, so it might be that we can only go
for a day (unless you all have more holiday than I do!) would suggest
going on the Sunday (12th August) to give time to get back from Sidmouth
unless anyone is uber keen!
It's 1.5 hrs from St Pancras by train - please specify what you would like
to do when you sign up.

Thanks to Ffion and Katherine for supervising another fun crawl. Fantastic, compact route brilliantly organised, Ffion, in a new area for us. Fab playing by Martin and Patrick too. And great celebratory drinks provided by an enthusiastic punter.
So how much cash did we collect (excluding Jersey currency, card payments and quite an impressive collection of foreign coins last night)?

Due to my knee I won't be coming tomorrow, not only can I not dance but traipsing around and doing lots of standing will make it hurt so I'd rather not when I know you'll be just fine without me 😊
Ffion is leading the crawl and I've asked Katherine to organise who is dancing in each pub, they will both be shouting to leave etc. please do this promptly! These are all of the numbers I have for you dancing out confidently, if any of this is wrong please let Katherine know.

Remember more people out collecting each time the more money we make, please bring tankards if you have them and please collect if you're not dancing!

Hi All,
Coming up this week - our April crawl will be on Thursday around St James'
Park. Please meet in the Feathers at 7 ready to dance at half past. If you
don't have a petticoat at the mo, don't worry - we can share! (I'll be
bringing swords - note to self...)
As you hopefully saw last week we have been invited to Bromyard Folk
Festival (woo!). Some of you had the opportunity to fill in the sign-up
sheet in the pub yesterday - a pint or two seems a great way to get people
to say yes! If you're worried that you accidentally said no when you meant
yes, please go and check and update as necessary. If the following people
could take a look as well that would be great - seeing as you missed out
yesterday evening: Anna, Emily, Joanna, Hannorah, Rachel-Anne. We'll
confirm details and the like at a later point, for now they would just like
a yes/no from us.
