Hi All,
It's nearly time for Whitby! The festival you have all been eagerly
anticipating all year!
There's a lot of info, but I've tried to keep it simple. I've attached the
schedule to this one as we all need that to know where to be. At the start
of each day please *make sure you arrive at the first spot 15 minute before
scheduled* so Becky can let us know the plan for the day. Should anything
change this will be communicated via WhatsApp.
*Arrival:*
- If you are camping you will get your ticket on arrival when you
register at the campsite.
- If you are not camping, then you will need to collect your ticket on
Saturday from the Festival Office at Whitby Spa Pavilion from 11am, there
will be a specific Dance Team desk to start with.
-->* If you arrive after Saturday and are not camping, then collect your
ticket from the Festival Office on the Spa Mezzanine between 0930 and
1730. 🎫*
The campsite is at the Rugby Club on White Leys Road, YO21 3PB and opens
from 2pm on Friday. ⛺
*Itinerary:*
- Please find attached a list of all our spots. Assume we will be doing
extra dancing in pubs after the spots are over every day.
- Crawls on are Saturday night starting in the Whitby Brewery near the
Abbey starting at 7.30 (led by Katherine) and Monday (led by Patrick)
- Yoof club workshop on Sunday at 2pm, estimated up to 20 10-18 year
olds. We'll have to suss it when we're there. Rules for children mean not
touching them to show them where to go, or if you really can't explain then
ask permission to lead them physically. No drinking and don't be drunk
already. No swearing.
- Thursday standard workshop will be stepping workshop as discussed
previously. We'll consider this more once we're there.
- Final Friday is the ceilidh spot which we will run through at some
point Monday onwards.
- Tuesday is our day off, you're free to do whatever.
*Other events:*
- Rapper who's crapper 4.15 Dock End (prepare for madness)
- Beck Hole Wednesday night, we'll plan getting to and from once we're
there.
- Themed ceilidh: we'll assemble costumes at the Ravens house on the
Thursday before we head to the ceilidh. Times TBC. Remember to wear black
underneath.
*Other:*
- *Collecting:* If you're not dancing you need to be collecting. Buckets
need to be collected from the Festival Office each day (this job will be
allocated once we're there but if a Friday night arriver can get our
buckets and WhatsApp to confirm that'd be great for Sat) - final
collections need to be in by 12 noon on Friday 23rd to count to our score.
Yes, there is a prize.
- *Drunk and disorderly: *Becky has the say on if your too drunk to
dance, she will make you pay for this the next day. If you need a break
because you're a. drunk b. tired or c. broken just let Becky know. If you
have any issue around the team/how many dances you've done etc. talk to
Becky. It she's the issue she recommends talking to Ffion or Katherine who
have been in charge and might understand her madness and also can actually
approach her to stop XD (Becky's words not mine!)
- *Kit:* Bring kit, spare kit so you're not gross, branded t-shirts and
hoodies, super glue and polish. Sun cream and waterproofs.
See you in Whitby!
Hannah
Hi,
I don't know what the decision was about a crawl on Sunday or not, but our
lovely flatmates Jen and Bob are having a bring-your-own-fish-and-chips
party on the Sunday evening, and we are all welcome.

We would like to invite you lovely people to a bring your own fish and chip
(or similar!) Supper at our cottage in Whitby on Sunday from approx 1800.
Please consider this invitation to include obvious plus ones and feel free
to suggest anyone we obviously would have invited if we knew they were up.
Flying visits before soundchecks, crawls etc. Welcome.

P.s. bonus challenge - win general acclaim by sourcing the best chips in
Whitby!

Hi all,
Sorry for late email today!
Absences: Rachel, Miriam and Laura. I'm hoping that's it?
Clog - work on the clog again, if you're unsure on anything please bring to the practice so we can stamp out final mistakes lol we'll also run through old clog again.
Rapper - practice the ceilidh spot, in particular the double jubilee, figuring out how they join together. Rachel my aim is to keep you where you were last week. Ffion we will run through this at Whitby at some point, but assume won't be a problem for you.
Triple jump with Ellie, Emma, Tori, HTD and Hannorah who all seem relatively happy. Ideally get this into a dance so we can do it out at some point at Whitby while we have lots of room and there aren't many people around! If people really aren't confident I won't push this and we will aim for September crawl instead.
Generally go through dances to make sure we're confident, remembering some of the stuff we went through last week to iron out issues.
If we have time I want to put Tori through at 4 for Jubilee and maybe even 6 Westerhope (depending how it all goes).
Let me know if you have anything else. We'll also be sorting out practicalities of Whitby so hopefully everyone will be clear with everything they need to know!
Thanks,
Becky
Hi All,
Hopefully you have all sorted travel to Whitby and arranged any kit swaps
by now. We'll have a full on exciting Whitby email next week, so given that
September will come around very quickly once we've come back, we need to
give some attention to our Autumn events. (We're also getting asked about
whether we are going to some of them or not.)
I think Rachel/Laura are trying some coordination on getting the stash to
Whitby for the start of the festival, however if this doesn't quite work
and you need stash, you may need to consider collecting whatever you do
need from Laura's house.
So, *Crawls* - September especially - we need to keep up the momentum to
remain awesome. October, we may decide to rearrange if 31st genuinely is
Brexit Day, but if you could sign up as if it isn't for the time being.
*Bath Time!* (This looks more likely than Dance around the World the day
after, but if you fancy both, please do sign up to that too.) 26th October
- was a lot of fun last time and Northgate are very keen on us going.
*Thrales Day* (8-10 November) - our local friendly team turn 25 this year
and are having a weekend of dance to celebrate. In addition to our usual
Sunday dancing with them, we have been invited out during the day and
evening of the Saturday. (There are also welcome drinks for the teams from
further afield on the Friday night, but if you can't make it it isn't
essential). Please fill yourselves in, and if you can only do one day,
please say this.
Sign-up sheet here as always:

Hi guys,
Thanks to those who could make it last night!
1. What we worked on
2. Ceilidh spot for Whitby
3. Crawls at Whitby
4. Whitby KIT
1. For those who missed it we worked on:
* J: clash, which I will recap next week for those who have missed it
* J: Single guard, relaxed hands, again I'll recap
* J: Hoops, walking around with pace and ensuring turning out on 1 or 5
* J: Spin, stopping neatly
* W: Single guard to make the lock work properly. It's just all about pushing around with pace
* W: triple jump (trying next week with Ellie, Emma, HTD, Tori and Hannorah to see if happy for occasional stints at Whitby
* W: Fastknot, we really need to power through the curlys and this will put us in the right position to lock. It also looks 100% better!
2. Ceilidh spot at Whitby:
Worked out getting lots of people into hoops, out of it and 4th corner, open ring, lock.
--> we need to work on it next week to make sure we're happy with all the movements. I know not everyone is there next week but hoping to have at least 11 people. If you're going to Whitby but won't be there on Monday please let me know. (Not Ffion or Rachel obviously) I'm working through numbers for who will be dancing what and how that will impact on them at the spot.
3. Whitby crawls
Hannah sent round the schedule last week, but essentially Tuesday onwards is a write-off as we have Tues as day off, Wednesday Beck Hole, Thursday fancy dress ceilidh and then Friday collections wouldn't count.
I'm proposing we crawl on Sat/ Sun and then Monday. I know it's close together but seems to be the only time we have.
Monday will also mean we're boosted by Ffion, Hannorah and Pat! However, with Martin not being available until 8-8.30 this would put rather a lot of pressure on Pat!
Considering Martin has other commitments Sunday 5-7 and then will need to eat (or collapse mid-crawl!) I would endorse Saturday.
We will discuss on Monday and go with the majority 🙂
4. Kit
IF YOU DON'T HAVE KIT YOU HAVE UNTIL MONDAY TO SORT IT OUT. HANNORAH, FFION WILL NEED HER PETTICOAT SO YOU NEED SOMEONE ELSES!
Thanks all,
Becky

Hi folks,
Thanks for a fab Cambridge to those who came along! I'll try to keep people who were there from having to do too much high energy stuff but, as always, please just tell me if you are flagging and need a rest or are raring to go and want to DANCE DANCE DANCE.
Absences: Sue, Ellie, Miriam, Clare anyone else please let me know. If you're at Whitby it's particularly good that you could be there!
7 - clog. I'm going to look at the clog video Hannah sent through (thanks again) and figure out where the stylistic stuff is failing so we can focus on that. We don't have Ellie but I feel like we can fend for ourselves 🙂
7.30 Rapper. More thoughts have happened re. combining two jubilee sets so, if we have enough people, we'll work on this because if we can make something work it'll be amazing! If it all goes wrong we can still defo do double jubilee (lets be honest, everyone loves it).
I also want to look at the clash - definite improvement with work from last week but know some people weren't there and it doesn't feel totally confident. I'd also like to do single guard again to remind everyone of style points and hoops as people aren't turning out at the right time. Westerhope I want to do single guard as we were nowhere near being able to lock, ever.
We also want to feature triple jump in Westerhope so want to work on putting it in the dance (discussed order at Cambridge but need to make it work!). If we simply aren't happy we can do it in time for Whitby this will be the priority for September.
With two weeks left until Whitby there's not a lot of time to prepare so do shout up if there is something you want to work on before then!
Please look at Bath time and Thrales day, maybes please try and move yourself to a yes or no.

Hi all,
I've started digging around at travel to Cambridge so thought I could help you all out (for those going by train).
So:
1. Train to Cambridge, these all look to take 1 hour 30.
2. Then you can get a bus from the station to Cherry Hinton Hall (festival site). You can go for free is you download and print a bus ticket from here: https://www.cambridgelive.org.uk/tickets/events/complimentary-bus-voucher-c… (on the right are options of which day you want to book, it says at time 23.00 but think that's a glitch. These seem to take 15-30 mins.
3. From the main festival site you can then get a free festival bus. These are every 15 mins and then take 10-15 minutes.
4. Showing your pass that was forwarded to each of you and you have printed you can then get on the campsite, set up your tent (potentially in an allocated place) get into kit
5. Then get the free festival bus back to the festival site
For your info: Bus timetables https://www.cambridgelive.org.uk/sites/default/files/public/wysiwyg/Folk%20…
Please note you can download the free bus ticket twice (one to get to the main site on Friday/Saturday and one to get you back on the Sunday)
****PLEASE BEAR IN MIND HOW LONG ALL OF THIS WILL TAKE. AT THE MOMENT ALMOST ALL OF YOU ARE ARRIVING ON SATURDAY SO CANNOT AFFORD TO BE LATE. I estimate your journey from London train station to the campsite will take 2.15-2.30 hours, plus tent time, changing time and getting back to festival site. You're probably looking at 3.30 hours. And you might have to factor in getting your artist wristband before you're allowed on site.****
Seriously...just come camp on the Friday and make me feel less stressed 😋
Inside voice...soz guys, just foreseeing stress and disaster.
Becky
P.s. Friday night has Nancy Kerr, Will Pound (and me!)

Hi All,
This weekend we will be dancing at Cambridge Folk Festival. If you'd like
to know more about the line-up/please look at the website here:
https://www.cambridgelive.org.uk/folk-festival
<https://www.cambridgelive.org.uk/folk-festival>
The Cambridge Folk Festival | Cambridge Live
<https://www.cambridgelive.org.uk/folk-festival>
The Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the premier music events in Europe
and one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world.
www.cambridgelive.org.uk
*Getting there* - there are lots of trains to Cambridge, either from Kings
Cross (~1hr and I think it was £33.15 railcard return) or Liverpool St
(slightly cheaper but takes 1hr 30, costs £25.55 railcard return I think),
so take your pick on what suits you best. If you haven't already let Becky
know whether you are arriving on Friday evening or Saturday morning please
let her know. 🚂 *From the station you will need to get to the campsite at
Coldhams Common, this is NOT the same as the festival site.*
I've forwarded your* production passes which you need to print*, the
official line is that you need a printed version to get on site and one on
your phone to get your artist pass (your artist pass will also let us
access the Green Room for comfy chairs!). We have camping at Coldhams
Common - you will need your artist pass that I forwarded earlier to get
onto the site. If you are bringing a vehicle (think that is just Clare and
Will) then they have your vehicle passes there too, you'll just need to
show your artist pass parking is at Netherhall Upper School. Loads of info
on arriving in the attached - please read it. There is a free bus between
the festival and camp sites, not sure of the frequency, but they run
between 9am and 1am.
*Becky is going to try and collect all of the artist passes on Friday so
she can just hand the wristbands out on people's arrival. She'll whatsapp
to confirm but please do factor in times to get them.*
If you are arriving on Saturday please make sure you are there in time to
have set yourself up on the campsite and made it over to the festival site
at Cherry Hinton in good time to start dancing.
*Dancing* 💃- at the moment we are down to do the following spots on
Saturday (and Sunday, but should get confirmation of the later one being
earlier in the day soon...)
1200-1220; 1330-1350; 1530-1550; and 1830-1850
We may need to be slightly flexible with these as we are filling the gap
between acts on the main stage, so may need to be prepared to stop a couple
of minutes early.
We will then crawl in the evening on Saturday - thanks to Rachel/Hannah TD
for hunting down pubs for this.
*Other stuff:*
BYOB - there is alcohol on site but pretty expensive. No glass is allowed
in the arena.
Please bring your tankard with you if you have it so we can collect on
Saturday night.
Cambridge are going plastic free for this, so please bring your reusable
water bottles/coffee cups.
Hopefully that should cover everything, any questions let me know, and I'll
update on timings as soon as I have more information.
Thanks,
Hannah
Hello all,
You should have had your passes (which you need to print) through from Hannah and she is sending through a more general info email re. Cambridge.
Mainly for the benefit of Hannorah and Rachel who missed last night, we worked on neatening some figures which looked a bit untidy at Warwick, so just to emphasise.
1. Clash - Holding the brass with thumb on one side and finger round the back i.e. BOTH sides. Holding sword flat face on to you and doing the movement neat and small, moving the hand away ever so slightly as clash ensuring the clash remains high. We worked on this because the clashes have been sloppy, but also no. 3 got hit on the head quite a lot (one of my bumps still hurts!)
2. single guard - paced walk around, with energy. Sword hands together of the person turning out to try and keep them flat. Pivots in the middle keeping their hands centred and in the middle of the walkaround. Tension should be relatively loose to keep swords flat
3. Back 8 - Hands together, not ducking and trying to keep the movement smooth. Staying close to the moving set and flicking at front and back
4. Open ring post back 8 - no. 3 getting there in 4 (2 must ensure she has space to get round)
5. Westerhope back lock - remember timings and if you're shorter (sorry Clare!) really reaching up high, making sure nice and close to the rest of the set
***Please note all Jubilee and Piccadilly will just be 5 person versions***
I also did a bit of a moan about actually getting on with things when I ask you to. Most importantly leaving pubs but also getting up and dancing!
Looking forward to this weekend!
Becky xx
Hi All,
Below should be a lot of emails which are all identical, but addressed to
each person that is going to Cambridge -with a separate Artist pass for
each of you. More info coming soon, just making sure I don't forget this

Hello all,
Absences: Miriam, sue, Emma, Rachel and Ellie will be there but probably won't dance.
Anyone else please let me know.
Clog: we're going to need this for Cambridge so want to check who is happy with it. Thought it might be worth Ellie watching to see if all seems ok!
Rapper: again, prepping for Cambridge. If you were at Warwick I'm going to rest you as much as possible. Let me know if you need a break and I will do my best.
Note that Simon most likely won't come in the set (he isn't able to come to practice so most likely won't want to) so we'll run through the endings to make sure we're happy.
I'm looking at numbers for Whitby ceilidh spot and will run through this tonight. I also got some handy info on Cambridge so will fill people in.
Thanks,
Becky xx

Hi all
We have been discussing going as a jelly fish swarm as our fancy dress for
Whitby. I've attached some pictures of examples for reference.
I am thinking of a skirt (and possibly something around the shoulders) as
the arms (tentacles). Then either a padded and covered sombrero or an
umbrella as the head, decorated with lights tendrils and tentacles. Then
maybe some face paint too.
Key questions are:
Do we want to make them in Ravens colours? Or maybe different colours?
Do we want to wear hats or hold umbrellas? I did a quick costing and there
isn't much in it in terms of one being cheaper.
If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know! We will discuss in
more detail at practice :-)
See you later!
Katherine 👾
Hi Ravens
Please fill in this form with your kit choices and sizes *by end of
practice MONDAY*:
https://forms.gle/zSLERoMHXGjuEiqv8
Please can you all look at this even if you don't want kit as it has a poll
about image preference for new business cards at the end too (just skip the
kit questions). Thanks Rachel Anne for digging out and cleaning up these
images.
I need kit choices this by end of practice *MONDAY 29th JULY,* otherwise we
run the risk not having it in time for Whitby. Prices will depend on final
numbers, but roughly £30 for a hoody and £20 for a t shirt. if you have any
questions email me, whatsapp me, or talk to me on Monday night.
Please also forward link onto anyone you know needs a hoody who might not
be on this list. Ozzy??
Hope you have a great weekend
L xxxx
Hi All,
It's nearly here! 🍸
So, a quick summary of what we're doing. Please note *we will be having a
practice on Monday* to do any last bits of prep for Cambridge.
One final aside before the excitement of the week, if you have any*
fabulous ideas for our Friday LNE ceilidh spot at Whitby,* please pass them
onto Becky and *don't forget to sign up to things in the Autumn*, it'll
reach us sooner than we think.🍁
But first, the weather at the mo suggests that there might be some showers
on Saturday, though it has been changing a bit over the last couple of
days, so keep an eye and come prepared! If you have a Ravens hoody, might
be worth bringing at least for the evenings. Don't forget your shoe polish
and I think everyone should now be all sorted for kit for Warwick - Clare:
Emma took a petticoat and a sash from Fliss, and she also has a petticoat
for you Ffion. If there are any outstanding kit requirements, please sort
yourselves out asap.
*Friday*
Becky forwarded the info for tickets, so hopefully you're all sorted for
that. The pdf will get you in, though I doubt they are that strict on it
all. Please enter the site via Gate 3 CV34 6PJ – Green Camping at Myton
School. You can camp from Thursday (though would need to buy a ticket see
Billy Bragg that night if you wanted), and can stay Sunday night too if you
wish as the festival continues into the night on Sunday. Tickets can then
be collected from Festival Information at the Bridge House Theatre.* Please
put wristbands on your left wrists*.🎪
>From 8pm in the Market Square, dancing with Earlsdon
*Saturday*
*1st spot at 1145 *in the Swan (so maybe we can have a warm up dance...!),
then a couple more spots including the castle - these are all 5 mins, so
we'll be expected to hit some pubs in between. After the castle spot we
have the procession, after which Becky was suggesting that we could explore
the castle for a bit before continuing with dancing
*Sunday*
We have a spot in the *church service at 1030* followed by a procession.
Then we are mostly free to crawl around the pubs (we have a list) before a
5 mins spot on our own and the final spot for turn and turn about
which *finishes
at 4* at the Arena stage, so can then pack up and head home once we're done
there.🚂
I've attached the timetables for Saturday and Sunday in case you wish to
see them, and the ticket receipt just in case - I'll have them with me
anyway at the weekend.
Any more info about Warwick Folk Festival in general can be found here:
https://www.warwickfolkfestival.co.uk/
Think that covers it, any questions, please shout!
Thanks,
Hannah
Saving Hannah a job and forwarding this ticket. This gets you into the campsite and then you need to get wristbands individually.
Will gets there first so is hoping to find our spot, keep an eye on whatsapp.
Thanks,
Becky

Subject: [TR Committee] Tower Ravens Ticket Receipt - Warwick Folk Festival 25-28 July
Hello,
Thanks for joining us at Warwick Folk Festival this year. We're looking forward to a great weekend.
Attached is your Side ticket receipt, please check carefully, and let me know of any problems.
If you are able to let me know specific names that'll help at the Box Office.
This is your side site entrance ticket, it can be copied for each named person, to allow access to the campsite, and they'll then need to collect their wristband individually from Festival Information at the Bridge House Theatre, once set up.
Weekend tickets include camping from Thursday. Weekend tickets will allow you onto site on Thursday, but if you want to go to the Billy Bragg concert in the main marquee, you’ll need to have booked a Thursday ticket. Day tickets allow access to all events on that day - but not camping.
We have new entrances again this year - all camping morris sides to use Gate 3 CV34 6PJ – Green Camping (morris & overflow - tents & vans) at Myton School. See map on receipt.
The Campsite opens at 1pm on Thursday.
For non-campers, Gate 4 is a drop off point in front of the Bridge House Theatre (Festival Box Office).
We look forward to seeing you at the weekend.
https://www.warwickfolkfestival.co.uk/visitor-information
Let me know if you have any queries,
Many thanks,
Tash

WITH THE PHOTOS THIS TIME- OOPS
Hello Tower Ravens Rapper
When I turned in the wrong direction out of Hammersmith Underground I
didn’t expect to encounter a really nice display of traditional English
dancing and to have the chance to photograph it.
I’m back home in Scotland at the end of my very enjoyable week’s holiday in
London and have got the photos ready for you.
I hope you enjoy them.
Feel free to make whatever use of them you want. They should look good
online.
Please credit me if you make use of any of my photos professionally though
there is no charge for them.
Cheers
Ronnie

Hello all,
Absences: Clare, Tori and Hannorah. Martin (but Will coming instead) and maybe Laura.
Clog: I would like to film it tonight to see if we're actually good enough for Warwick! Emma last thing I knew I don't think you thought you were ready yet so don't worry!
Rapper: I know Hannah TD put a request out re. doing some triple jump work at the start. If we have the people happy to do this then that's fine, these are the positions I'm going with for Warwick, please let me know if you need to work on any of them:
Jubilee
1 Becky Emma
2 Hannah N Ffion Hannah TD
3 Hannah N Becky Hannah TD
4 Ellie Ffion Emma Miriam
5 Ellie Ffion Emma Clare (Sunday)
Westerhope
1 Ellie Becky
2 Hannah N Becky
3 Hannah N Becky Hannah TD
4 Emma Clare (Sunday)
5 Ffion Emma Miriam
6 Hannah N Ffion Miriam
Piccadilly
1 Ffion
2 Hannah N Hannah TD
3 Hannah N Becky
4 Ellie Becky
5 Becky
I need to work on Piccadilly 5 to see if I have half a chance of getting through it at the weekend, apologies for the people who have to be dragged through the process with me!
Thanks,
Becky
Hi All,
First things first we have a crawl on Thursday, probably in Farringdon, but
watch out for more info from Laura. Please be at Pub 1 for 1915 so we can
do the first dance at half past.
*1. Warwick*
*2. Cambridge*
*1. Warwick* - The best train ticket to get looks to be an off peak ticket,
which costs £33 with a railcard - you'll be able to get any train back on
the Sunday, so we don't need to worry about what time we actually finish
(the Off Peak is cheapest at the mo anyway). Earlsdon have invited us to
join them for some dancing around the town on the Friday evening from 8pm.
If you think you could be there ready to dance at 8 please let Becky know.
Most likely train options are 1647 arrives 1808, 1747 arrives 1909, 1847
arrives 2013. You need to go to Warwick (rather than Parkway) - I think the
site is about 20 mins walk from the train station.
If you have yet to pay Emma (well TR) for a partner ticket, please do so.
Hopefully more details on everything we'll be doing next week.
*2. Cambridge -* just finalising times for this.. however I have a form to
fill in asap about our camping details. I'm going to assume that everyone
is in their own tent apart from Hannah TD, Jo and Rachel who are not
camping and the couples. The most important thing though is, if you intend
to drive, they need to provide vehicle passes to access the site, which
they are going to post... *So, if you think you are going to drive, please
send me your reg plate by Thursday 4pm. *I'm not sure what parking in
general is like in Cambridge as to whether there are other places to put a
car or not. Cambridge are quite keen to calculate their carbon footprint I
think...
And, just in case, because a business email wouldn't be the same without
it, here's the sign-up sheet!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/11XHQc6j0g7HQto7rhOs6k0bfkw-XmFb8jmCeRa4…
See most of you on Thursday!
Thanks,
Hannah
Hiya,
Absences: Rachel, Hannorah (Fliss expecting to be late) Anyone else let me know!
7-7.30 Clog as normal. Ideally we'll be dancing 2nd one out at Warwick so might be good to record it? I'd also like to run over style points of the one we definitely do know to make sure we all look the same.
Rapper: Make sure happy with numbers I have allocated for crawl (please see below and if you're not at practice shout up if I'm wrong!)
Tumbling Tori - we have a really productive session around Tori tumbling on Wednesday (thanks to those of you came and helped) I want to see if we can continue that a bit today while another set merrily gets on with some dancing. Also Tori if you can confirm if you are coming to Warwick for definite that would be great.
Warwick:
For me, I want to run through Jubilee at 1 because I've realised I don't really have the confidence to do it out, making someone else do it all the time, which isn't fair. I'm also sacrificing myself to the Piccadilly God's and will try and learn 5 in the next few weeks.
Hannah N I'm assuming a run-through Westerhope 2 would be good, I know you can do it but doesn't happen very often! As well as Piccadilly 3.
Hannah TD would like to make sure you're happy on all little details for Piccadilly 2.
If we have time we'll do a bit more on triple jump (if someone can recommend where we got to and with who last week!)
CRAWL NUMBERS

Thanks,

Hi all,
just got this from the festival organiser if anyone is interested. Is there
someone willing to have their phone number given to him to be the point of
contact? Maybe Emma? Not much point it being me as I'm not there...
Thanks,
Hannah
Yes we have decided on a special offer on the evening concert in the
Memorial Hall (see map) with Sheelanagig and the Smith Brewer Band. It will
be FREE to dancers! Anyone wishing to take up this offer can get a
wristband at the Festival Office which will be the gazebo at the Boot Pub.
The other evening concert with the Melrose Quartet, in the Church, will be
charged normally at £20, BUT as performers you will be entitled to a free
Afternoon Ticket which will get you into the any or all of the three
concerts during the afternoon, two in the Memorial Hall and one in the
Church.
I hope that's clear!
See you on Saturday!
And can you give me your phone number in case I need to contact you on the
day?

more Hammersmith, New Esperence and Mabels for the final spot which will
finish at 1730. Still trying to work out who might be able to play for the
second to last spot when Martin has to leave. 🎈
*2. Festivals (mostly Whitby)*
*Whitby* - reminder to sort your travel out asap as tickets might start to
become expensive, and the works at Kings Cross mean a slightly longer route
to St Pancras instead. If you need help with your tickets let me or Martin
know and we'll see what we can do.🚂
*Camping/tickets - this is your last chance to tell me if you need camping
/ correct anything in the attached. Please check it and let me know by 10am
on Sunday if anything needs changing.*
If you are not arriving until Saturday, then please make sure you are there
by midday ready to go and have also let Becky know. If you have any bright
ideas for our LNE ceilidh spot on the Friday, please pass them onto Becky.
Katherine is going to send around an exciting email about potential
Jellyfish costumes for the themed ceilidh on the Thursday... 👾
*Warwick* - Emma will be chasing you for money if you have a partner ticket
(£45). We don't yet have a timetable, so tickets home may be tricky, other
than we are likely to be done by 5 on the Sunday.
*Cambridge - *should hear back on the spot timings soon, so hopefully get a
better picture of the plan...
*3. Other sign-ups*
7th September London Folk Festival has been declined, we don't have enough
people that want to go / go during the evening which is when they would
like us.
8th September - Sue's street party - This looks like we have enough of us,
so I have changed it to confirmed.
Don't forget to think about Bath Time, Dance around the World, Thrales Day
etc. as these will soon come around...
Sign-up sheet here as always:

*4. Kit *
If you have borrowed kit from anyone for Saturday, please return it
afterwards. I would like to get back to a place where people with kit have
all the pieces - will make any future loans a lot more simple! (And
hopefully avoid the 10 mins each practice while people remember who they
borrowed it from)
I think there is one person who has yet to hand back a Westerhope necker...
(based on a quick count this morning) please bring this on Monday.
Thanks,
Hannah
Very random question, Beth in Star and Shadow's sister is down this weekend doing something at the Royal College of music but her accommodation has fallen through at the last minute. Beth has appealed to us in case anyone has room for her. Sue has kindly said she has room but there might be someone who is closer?
She's 17 and would be around from 12th-14th? I'm told she is very low maintenance 🙂
Thanks in advance.
Becky
