Hello all,
Just a reminder to see you all at 5 in kit and ready to run through. There should be a room available to leave stuff and hopefully dance through, please meet there!
Also, if you are confident enough and have clogs, please bring them.
I'm there from about 11 so might see some.of you around earlier :-)

Hi Ravens,
Someone asked (a while ago - sorry it took so long) for a recording of the
Clog waltz. It's recorded on my phone, but hopefully it's OK enough to use
for practice.
Kate
Hello all,
So numbers are a bit mixed for the next two outtings so thought I'd give people an idea of what will happen.
Tomorrow:
Due to numbers we can only do Jubilee. Numbers I have that people can do are:
1. Emma and Becky
2. Hannah, Hannah TD and Hannorah
3. Hannah and Becky
4. Hannorah and Becky
5. Anna
If any of that is wrong please let me know! Looks like we'll all be rather busy. Luckily Sue is here to embrace Tommy so we don't need to worry about that. For those that are new to the team please bear in mind collecting after the dance. If you're not in a dance you need to be ready to collect!
Sunday:
Due to different numbers on Monday and tomorrow than I thought there might be I'm not sure how prepared we are with all of the dances. I'm hoping we should be able to run through Westerhope prior to performance to ensure we're happy.
Jubilee:
1. Emma
2. Hannah TD
3. Becky
4. Hannorah
5. Anna
Westerhope:
1. Katherine/Becky
2. Hannorah
3. Hannah
4. Emma
5. Rachel-Anne
6. Anna/Katherine
Piccadilly:
1. Katherine
2. Hannh
3. Becky
4. Hannorah
5. Rachel-Anne
This will be the running order. With a neat exit and re-entrance after and before each dance with Sue doing a bit of a ramble in between. If Westerhope isn't up to scratch on the day then I propose a couple of us dancing the clog waltz. This is only do-able if you are 1. happy that you know it all the way through and 2. have some clogs to wear. If you fit in that category please bring clogs with you, there's no pressure, if you don't think you're happy to perform it yet then please don't. The smaller we are in numbers the less we can sound like a bunch of elephants if it goes awry.
Hope that all makes sense. See you tomorrow in kit ready to dance at 7.30!
Becky xx
P.s. KIT - new people please ensure you have black tights and one of the t-shirts from h&m. It sounds like they've changed slightly again but please remember to look for quite short sleeves (almost capped) and a curved neck line towards scooped.
Hannah TD we have Rachel-Anne's skirt for you on Thursday, if you need to share again on Sunday that should be fine but be ready for a very quick change post jubilee.
Hi All,
Coming up this week we have our crawl on Thursday - see Hannorah's email
for details. The first dance will be at 1930, so please be ready to go by
then - quite often people are there around 7 or so (work-dependent, I
guess!). Phone numbers for Hannah, Anna and Emma in case you need them are:
Me (Hannah N): 07934 799104 and Becky: 07988 696321.
On Sunday we are dancing at 1740 at C# house as part of the Dance around
the World Festival. Please be there in kit by 1700 latest so we can
hopefully find somewhere to quickly run through Westerhope. There is a
small chance we may need to do the clog dance, so if you feel confident
with it perhaps bring clogs as well - if we do need to do this it will
probably only be one or two of us that will need to do it (easier to hide
anything...!) We are all able to go to any part of the festival at any
point in the weekend. If you just go to the performers desk and say that
you are with Tower Ravens and will be performing on Sunday then they should
give you a wrist band - you'll need to keep hold of it for the whole
weekend, but I am assured that they are perfectly washable! More info about
the festival here: http://www.datw.org.uk/
Sign-ups. I am not going to fill in a form for us to go to Chippenham, as
we do not have enough interest in going.
Sign-up sheet here - please have a quick look over it for upcoming things
for the rest of the year

Don't forget that Monday will be our stepping practice with Ru, so have a
think about anything you might like help with or that you think you might
be doing wrong.
See you Thursday / Monday!
Hannah
Hello all,
So tonight I am not expecting: Kate, Ffion, Rachel, Hannorah and Laura W (I assume you are in a heap of jetlag right now). Is there anyone else?
We will be looking towards the crawl but more importantly the Dance around the world on Sunday.
I've had a pretty crappy past-week so apologies if my brain does a terrible job of telling you all what to do. I will try my best! On Sunday we will need all three dances so the aim will be to work on that if possible.
Laura W are you defo coming on Thursday and Sunday?
7.45 for clog.
Thanks,
Becky
Hi guys,
I hate to do this two weeks in a row, but is anyone able to be musician on
Monday? Just found out about a meeting that'd be really useful for me to
attend.
Kate
Hi All,
Few things for signing up to below. We will have our October crawl next
week (26th) and will have stepping practice with Ru on 30th October - so
have a think between now and then if there is anything in particular that
you would like help with with your stepping.
1. Shoes
2. Sign-ups
3. Festivals
1. Shoes - there are a few of us intending to buy/resole shoes, so we're
thinking of taking them all in bulk to the shoe person for soling (is that
even a word!) in the hopes of getting a discount. If those of you who are
thinking of getting new shoes could try and do it soon-ish, then we'll do
them all together. Likewise if you need a new sole let us know. Let me know
if you need the link again or anything. (Also if anyone needs a 7, there is
an old spare pair with Kate)
2. Sign-ups:
*Mabel Day* - 3rd December, we now have our official invite (it involves
extra cake as they will be 21!). Think we still have a couple of no-replies
to go...
*Martin&Hannah's birthday* 9th December - would be great if we can have a
team and will be fun crawling the pubs of London with Sallyport. Probably
be starting in a wetherspoons for breakfast and going from there.
3. Festivals:
*Chippenham *(25-28th May) - please could you fill this in if you would
like to go. If we want to go, I need to do the paperwork on Tuesday.
*Beverley* (16-18th June) - could do with a couple more for this one as
well, would be good to get it fixed in the diary and make sure we are able
to go as we deferred our invite from last year.
*NEW Kimpton Folk Festival* (7th July) - maybe a workshop and couple of
spots was the suggestion, though I think we can sort of say what we'd like
to do.

Have a good week!
Hannah
Morning team,
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who came to our album launch on Saturday. Thanks to those who put time and effort into learning a new dance for the occasion. It went down so well. I enjoyed watching it so much that I was struggling to play my whistle at the end! Thanks also to those who weren't dancing but who came to support anyway. It meant a lot to have you all there with us.
There's a short film of the end of the dance on Facebook. Unfortunately it's mostly Thrales as it was taken by my dad and he was sitting on that side. Hopefully some footage will emerge from the other side of the room too!
See you all tonight,
Ffion x
