Hi,
I mentioned ICBINI last night, so here's more information if you're interested.
ICBINI is short for 'I can't believe it's not IVFDF', and IVFDF is the major student led annual folk festival. This year Warwick Folk are hosting ICBINI (in Coventry) from 21st-23rd November. There'll be plenty of different workshops (music and dance), two ceilidhs and casual sessions- it's a really fun weekend. It's run on a shoestring so just £5 for a weekend ticket, and another £5
for indoor camping. There's a facebook event
here.
I had a lovely weekend last time Warwick hosted it- I think Nikki was involved in the very memorable Scandinavian singing for dancing workshop and demonstration? If five of us are going we can sign up for a display spot during the ceilidh, and there might be a rapper workshop as it's Warwick (Jake's stepping workshop was really helpful last time.) It's run by students, but there are plenty of ex-students and non-students and it's open to all. Train tickets to Coventry are still pretty reasonable, and it takes an hour or two.
It'd be lovely to see some of you there,
