Yes, good suggestion about having a seprate person chair the meeting. I've added 'elect chair' as the first item on the agenda and removed it from the list of tasks under leader. Thrales have Clive as the permanent Chairman. We could also disucss whether we want / need such a role.

With all of the other roles everything listed needs to be completed by someone, but not necessarily the person it's been listed under in the notes. We don't need to decide this in advance - we can discuss at the AGM. The important thing for the agenda notes is that all possible tasks have been added to the document so if anyone thinks of anything extra please add it.

See you on Sunday,

I think Rachel has a valid point here about chairing the meeting.  I feel impartial (hope I'm not deceiving myself) and I would have a stab at chairing it, but it would be great to offer it to Jo, since she didn't have any specific role last year and she'd do it well.  And I have the wardrobe responsibility (mistress is an odd term, but I can't suggest an alternative).  Unless anyone else would like to take on kit responsibility, of course......

Haven't read Rachel's other suggestions yet, but Ffion has done a brilliant job, as ever, getting the ball rolling.  Thanks to you both.

I'd certainly propose or second Rachel for Secretary or Treasurer.

Really looking forward to Sunday Emoji although I fear my double entendres will be thin on the ground.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'd gladly take them up.

Hi all,

I've made a few comments/adjustments to the AGM agenda, initialled in blue, to get the discussion going.  I think the main thing I've put that ought to be addressed beforehand is the Chair of the meeting - I propose that it ought to be somebody who isn't Organiser, Secretary or Treasurer and therefore can be a bit more neutral.  I further propose Jo or Sue to be good candidates.  What do you think?

I would like to stand for Secretary and Treasurer (I'm aware that I can only have one, but which one depends on who else wants to stand for what!).

Who else is standing for what?

See you Sunday.

Rachel

Hi everyone,

I've written a draft agenda for our AGM on Monday 18 November. You should be able to view it here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZvdXqW4Z27IFSoyPeTa27kEDh4eUoHw626ZLjBtZuOw/edit?usp=sharing

You should also be able to edit the document. Please add any discussion points you'd like to raise with your name next to it. Please also take a look at the tasks assigned to each position and add any facets of the job you think are missing. We can discuss the positions before the elections to check that everyone thinks the tasks are correctly allocated.

If you think you'd like to stand for a position feel free to talk to any of us about what the position entails. With the exception of leader, secretary and treasurer you can stand for more than one position e.g. this year Nikki was secretary as well as cake monitor.  I've attached last year's minutes and the minutes from the EGM we held after DERT 2013.

See you on Sunday,
