Hi all,

Sorry I won't make it tonight - I picked up a few injuries at Folk by the Oak yesterday which would make it very hard for me to join in - I got stepped on by a stiletto (why would anyone wear those to a field!?) and can now only hobble, and I have bruised fingers from being whacked during Worcestershire Monkey and can't close that hand (so couldn't hold swords).

Who would have thought nice genteel folk dancing was so hazardous! I will be back next week though. Have a good evening.

Subject: [Tower Ravens] Update

Hello all.

I'm afraid I'm not here tomorrow but will see you all the Monday after- please do discuss anything I say here and if Ffion could e-mail me with anything I need to know that'd be great.

Firstly: I've added the Puzzle Party that Nikki mentioned to us some time ago to the sign up sheet. 

8th August 2014 - Puzzle Party - Near Heathrow

Hosted by a close friend of Nikki’s this event is happening just outside of Heathrow. There is some discussion of a performance or a small workshop - I think it’s up to us. This would be a paid gig so if we do have a team it’d be great for the money box!

Please fill this in, I know a number of us can't make it but if we did have a team I think it'd be great to do.

Secondly: We have also been invited to the One World Folk Festival in Lordship rec -Tottenham on the 20th September. It must be noted that we were invited in a some what badly edited email which had initially been sent to Thrales, BUT it's a paid gig and second choice ain't bad. Please sign up to this too!

I have been presuming that we are not bothering with the Golden Star Morris weekend away which is the same weekend as Rockingham's birthday. It has been pretty much ignored on the sign up sheet due to the other choices, should anyone feel opposed to me declining the invitation please get in touch.

JIGS:

I know there have been various emails about optional dances and music for the jig practice. To confirm this is happening on the 4th of August as Ffion is away! FYI re. morris music-does is ever sound exciting?

Jo - are you getting in touch with Ru re. clog practice? The poll suggested 20th of August or 10th September as the most people available. Also, do we need music?
