Hi there friends

Are there any keen knitters amongst you I wonder? Or any lapsed knitters, who fancy having another go? Or any knitting virgins who want to learn? (Its actually quite easy when you follow a pattern) J

Age UK’s Big Knit partnership with innocent is in full swing – for the 10^th year. We’re aiming to knit 1 million hats to sell on smoothies in November and December.

This is over twice as many as we knitted last year

So we’re calling on supporters, beneficiaries, friends and relatives, even total strangers we see knitting the tube to please please help us by knitting some little hats and sending them to Age UK (address below) no later than 25^th September.

If social knitting is more your thing then join us at Drink, Shop, Do for our latest Big Knit ‘n Natter Night on Monday 16th September from 6.30pm to 9pm. Its loads of fun honest!

And if there’s no way you’re ever gonna pick up those knitting needles in real life, could you take 1 minute for go onto innocent’s Big Knit website and design a virtual woolly hat? – cos Age UK gets 10p from every one of those too.
