1. AGM dates changed
2. London Folk Fayre/ Blackheath 12th Sept
3. Sheffield Accomodation and getting there
1. Due to the DERT application period being far shorter than normal we are going to move our AGM from the usual date in November to the 21st September. According to the doodle poll pretty much everyone can make it (apologies Hannah!) so should be a good chance for everyone. If your plans have changed please let me know ASAP in case we have to change the date. If you can't make it but there are points you want to make that is no problem, just let me know your views in advance and we'll make sure they are discussed.
BEFORE the AGM if you could please let me know which category you fall in to out of the below it'd be much appreciated (either by email or in person at practice):
a. definitely want to compete in one of the categories but don't mind which one (please say if you're only attending if you can compete)
b. only want to dance in DERT competition
c. only want to dance in the Trad
d. only want to dance if in both
e. only want to spectate
f. want to bring a spectator with you
g. do not want to/will be unable to attend
Similarly if you have any concerns regarding DERT at all please let me know and I will ensure they are included in the AGM discussion.
I will be coming up with a plan for the AGM in the next few weeks, at least a week in advance of the actually meeting anyway. If when you read it you think there is anything else you would like discussing please let me know.
2. The dance spot at the London Folk Fayre is at 6pm 12th September after the day with Blackheath. I'm assuming most people can do both, if you can't please let me know ASAP.
3. I have confirmed the weekend of the 16th-18th October with Sheffield Steel. They seem happy to put us up. At the moment I have the final numbers as 10 (Laura S. we probably need to give them a definite on that if you have moved from a maybe?). I'm double checking that the number is ok.
Ffion I know you'd be coming up on the Saturday, is there anyone else unable to travel up on the Friday?
Trains look to range from about £30-40 fora return (not inc. railcard) so not too bad. Sue can we consider if this can be subbed at all by the treasury? SS have offered us all the crawl money towards travel but I've said we'd probably only want to take half as they are putting us all up and are the ones inviting us there!
Would anyone be driving? and if so can they take anyone else?
Thanks all, see some of you later!
Becky
P.s. Please remember that this is the last practice until 7th September and that there is NO crawl next week.
