Mostly, I think, in the last 3 pubs.
Which begs the questions:
- is it worth trying (and risk failing) to start at 7.30 in Islington?
- is there an ideal start time in each individual area we visit?
- did it make a difference collecting for a charity?
The first pub was very busy at 7pm but by the time we started dancing at 8, many of the punters had left. The pubs were full again by 10pm and the punters' generosity greatly increased. A bit of a dilemma really, because not all of us want to have a late
night on a Thursday. I didn't get home until 12.40 as it was.
Could someone please put the amount on Twitter/Facebook if possible? I rashly promised some of the punters that we would publish the amount.
Anyway, well done everyone, including our loyal supporters! It looks as if we can send a nice round £200 to St Mungo's, if everyone agrees that is appropriate. We could also afford to donate a little more if we choose, but that isn't my decision to make. We
currently have £1450+ in the bank, including Thursday's collection, but we have DERT accommodation to think about and £35 due to Open Morris next month.
Wishing you all a lovely relaxing break and lots of fun times to come in 2016.
