Hi all, Sorry for tardiness. Upcoming festivals (potentially) - Tenterton festival, 1st week in October. Needs action to find out who's available - Whitby, first weekend only if we're going - Folk East, on august bank holiday weekend (clashes with other big festivals, do we have enough people?) - 29th-30th June - 7 Champions in Kent. Likelihood is first weekend only. - Thrales Day, yep - Mabel Day, yep. - Thames Festival? Nic to find out more - DART? Not this year, too late. Maybe next year if it's on Dance-outs? - Looking into doing this once monthly. - Thursdays are good for most people, but we'll try Fridays - So upcoming dates are 25th April, 23rd May (accounting for update last Monday 7th April) Website and Publicity - Logo is fine. - We agree that facebook works for us for now, point our website domain at facebook. - Maybe look into doodle alternatives - google spreadsheet shared between group - Should get business cards Recruitment/Improvement - Should 'invite-only' musicians, for Nikki to do - Sue needs more double entendre in her Tommy routine :) - Worth putting out an advert for new dancers and characters - Should we do a workshop? - Hannorah to post on FB/Twitter to say we're happy to accept new dancers/characters - Should ask Thrales to help us out with learning to tumble (this was for me, and I haven't done it yet, sorry!!) - To do more stuff, we probably need more people. - Want to be memorable for good reasons - Want to be a nice, neat side - Want a new dance, so we have a hard one and an easy one. - We like Jimmy Kilner's swords, even though the metal is thinner, AP Ffion: find out about swords Bank Situation In the bank: £309.12 Owing to members: £21.06 Owed by members: £129 Church fees for March at time of meeting: £60 Net Assets: £357.06 as of end of March.
