It was discovered at Chingford Wassail that the current kit arrangement doesn't quite protect our modesty when people are sat down in chairs a few meters away from the performance.
When people have been stood up watching us you can't see anything. So we've been fine in pubs! (phew).

As demonstrated tonight by our brave flashing tumblers. The tumblers DEFINITELY need some modesty pants.

At practise we discussed:
a) upping the denier of our tights/little black shorts
b) all wearing the same blue sparkly/glittery/frilly knickers
c) all having our own individual knickers.

It was decided that we would prefer it if people were going too see our knickers then we were going to make it so people knew that we knew that they could see our knickers, in all there glory.

Hannorah rallied for 'Knickers' being our thing (star and shadow - Gin, Mabel Gubbins - Cake). Rachel seconded this by pointing out our calling on song has the line 'petticoat knickers and legs'.

Therefore, everyone needs to have a think about what their knickers are to be like. To get you thinking here are some suggestions:

You next practise could you all bring a picture (or that actual thing if you go hunting in the shops). The rules are:

1) Must contain the 'Raven' bright blue, and can contain black.
2) Must be 'big' knickers. So hot pant, or 40's bathing suit style pants. No thongs or skinny knickers.
3) You can get some plain black ones and customise with blue

So these are not allow (Hannorah, I'm talking to you... ;-) )

For colour reasons: http://www.punkyfish.com/union-jack-sequin-shorts-2.html

There are a few worries about sequins catching on the petticoats, so we should probably trial one glittery number before everyone goes buying them.

Happy hunting, and remember your safe search setting.
