Hi All,
We have a schedule change for the day - we've swapped locations with
Stevenage Sword, so will be starting at St Andrew's Church Hall / St Mary's
Church.
Please note that we are not permitted to collect any money. If someone
wishes to make a donation to the festival, please direct them to the
official Stawbear badge and programme sellers or the memorabilia stall on
the Market Place.
A further note for drivers - the Wash is currently flooded, so please do
check on your route and adjust timings as needed.
Thanks,
Hannah

Hey all,
TOP TIP: Pubs on Saturday will be very full, especially in the afternoon.
To make sure we can get in and dance can people be really minimal in what
they bring. Yes to layers, but also yes to tiny handbags, not rucksacks.
PARKING: Apparently Ken's family normally park near the train station
somewhere, I think just on the street. So this might be worth trying?
Thanks,
Becky

Hi All,
Quick update for the week:
1. Crawl
2. Whittlesea
3. Sign-ups
4. AOB
*1. Crawl Thursday in Clapham. * Meeting at The Clapham North (opposite
tube station of same name), we have a table booked from 7pm under Rachel.
Please be there by 1915 in kit and ready to go so we can start at 1930. If
possible would Ellie/Katherine be willing to lend petticoats afterwards for
the weekend (I can take care of them)?
*2. Whittlesea Straw Bear on Saturday*. Please be there by 10 latest. Car
drivers please let your passengers know what time to meet you (and if
necessary provide an address). Groupings as emailed last week (Clare and I
may swap) - if you aren't sure where you should be, ping me a message.
The Manor Leisure centre opens at 0930 for wrist band / map / schedule
collection. Becky is hoping to be able to collect this for all of us, and
if successful we can meet at the first spot of the day which is at Queen St
Methodist URC / Homme Nouveau. We have a scheduled lunch break of about 40
mins. Dancing should finish around 1445 (I think) and the straw bears will
be dancing at 1530 if you wish to see them.
We'll work out who is going in who's car or whatever once there based on
how people feel - but there is enough car space around.
Forecast looks a bit chilly, so be prepared for staying warm outside (as
well as having to pile it all of in the pub!). We'll try and dance at each
of our official spots where possible, and otherwise hit the pubs. They are
generally pretty happy for us to do our own thing. Watch out for the straw
bears and straw and bear themed things around the town!
*3. Sign-ups* - Please focus on the following two events n particular:
- Priddy Folk Festival 11-12 July, dance spots during the day, ceilidh
spot on the Saturday night. The invite cam through from Gus in Northgate.
More info about the festival itself here:
http://www.priddyfolk.org/
- London Folk Festival 5 September at Cecil Sharp House. I anticipate this
being a day time thing as I don't think we have a musician available for
the evening.

*4. AOB*
- Party at 48 Mountain House, SE11 5NW for any that will to celebrate
Clare's birthday. 1930 ish onwards. If it helps with Saturday transport,
you are more than welcome to stay over.
See you soon!
