Thanks Carol.
The parents love Morris, but plan to drive home mid-evening - in the opposite direction -
so aren't going to have time to come to the Wassail. Sadly their visit will also eat
into my travel time making it pretty unlikely I'll arrive at anything like a decent
time, if at all.
As they so rarely come down to mine, I don't really want to hurry them off, so Sinead
- it would be great if you could dance 4.
Sorry - & have fun!

Yes, definitely lots of drinking and a dance or two from the Ravens if you can. (What do
your parents think of Morris dancing Hannorah.....you can always bring them along ), the
more the merrier.
Town Mead itself is a social club next to the sports field. (To get there by car you have
to go through a small industrial estate so don't worry if your sat nav sends you along
a road that looks like it's going no-where. There is a bar and there will be a bit of
a buffet for everyone to tuck into. There will be some dancing from Chingford, from the
Ravens if you can, from the Lithuanian group (if they can make it), and also songs /
music from any other people that come along with instruments or a voice. So if any of you
feel like playing or singing please bring your instruments.
I will be going from Chingford, possibly getting a lift or by Taxi, so if anyone else is
planning to come via Chingford please let me know and I'm sure we'll be able to
share lifts.

My understanding is that we'll be dancing, although very relaxedly. It's a sort
of village hall place, so I'm expecting the odd dance with lots of
drinking/socialising round the edges. But I'm not 100% sure either. I hope you can
make it, but Sinead is also signed up, so we might be able to cope without you if
necessary.

Hi All
Happy new year!
Can I just check, are we dancing on Saturday or just going for the fun?
It's looking likely my parents will be visiting so there's a chance I might not
be able to make it, but didn't want to leave us short of dancers if I pull out.
Cheers

I shall probably drive - but wouldn't be going through either chingford or Loughton
I'm afraid, as they're both the other side for me.
I can easily take people from Turnpike lane or Enfield. 3 spaces free.

Hi all,
Hope you all had a very merry Christmas and a lovely time off work. I know I did!
Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Chingford Wassail on Saturday. I'm
expecting Becky, Ffion, Hannorah, Jo, Katherine, Lindsey, Rachel, Sinead, and maybe Josie
and Laura F (can you two let us know if you're planning on coming?).
The wassail starts at 7.30pm and is at Town Mead, Waltham Abbey, postcode EN9 1DE.
Unfortunately trains aren't running to the closest station due to works. TfL
suggests getting either the National Rail to Chingford and then the bus, or the central
line to Loughton and then the bus. Lindsey or Hannorah, are either of you planning to
drive? Lifts to and from stations might be a useful thing to organise if so.
I've attached the Chingford directions sheet. Let me know if anybody needs any more
information, otherwise see you all on Saturday!
Happy (nearly) 2014!
Rachel x
