Re: [Tower Ravens] Practice and tour

Hi ladies, Couple of points for this week's email: 1. PRACTICE ON MONDAY This will be in St Michael's Cornhill like last week. Since it is a nice room with a nice floor which we seem to like, we are hoping to use it as our new permanent venue. :) Practice will be split between running the dance through and doing last minute fittings for a few people's skirts (though hopefully this won't take too long), so please try to be on time. We will be in the Wetherspoons next door from about 6.30/6.45pm onwards for dinner - do join us there if you want some food. ( http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-crosse-keys). - - - - - 2. DANCE OUT ON FRIDAY (12th) As you all know, Friday 12th is our first danceout. Now it's getting closer, here's a few more details. We will be meeting at 7.15pm at the Castle pub in Clerkenwell ( http://www.thecastlefarringdon.co.uk/findus/), and will hopefully dance there too (although that's still tbc). As you can see on the map, it's just round the corner from Farringdon tube. The rest of the tour will be around this area. The exact pubs will be confirmed early next week, and I'll post it once it's known. Simon from Thrales has very kindly agreed to Tommy for us. This means that he'll be wandering around the outside of the set whilst we're dancing talking loudly to the audience. Try to just ignore him and get on with the dance. :) We'll also be collecting in the pubs, so hopefully we can add some money to the Ravens pot. I am expecting: Rachel, Jo, Lindsey, Nic, Josie, Hannorah, Ffion, Sue and Nikki. Let me know if that's wrong in any way. If you do want to invite a friend along to watch, feel free (though I think personally I'd find that rather scary!) - - - - - 3. KIT If you haven't already bought your tshirt from H&M, make sure you do so before Friday! You're also going to need a pair of black tights - 40/60 denier so that they're nice and opaque please. Please bring as much of your kit as you have with you on Friday (wearing it if possible - there may be limited changing space in the pub toilets). If you don't have something because it's not been finished yet, we'll bring it on Friday and you can change there. You will need: tshirt, skirt, petticoat, net belt/sash, black tights, shoes. - - - - - Hmm, I think that's all for now. See you all on Monday! Rachel :)
