Hi all,

I write with 3 pieces of good news:

1) The swords have arrived!! Can't see what they look like because they're all in bubble wrap. I think we should dance with the old swords on Thursday but I'll bring the new ones on Monday.

2) We might be getting a new member - someone called Katherine Richardson I chatted to briefly at Whitby last week. I think she's hoping to come on Monday.

3) At / after the last practice we discussed the fact that we need to do another recruitment drive sometime soon and somebody suggested doing a crawl around the student union bars during freshers' week. I've asked the guy who now runs SOAS ceilidh soc and he's happy for us to come and do a spot at half time on their freshers' ceilidh which is probably going to be on 25 Sept. I've added that date to the availability sheet. If we can get a team for Wednesday 25 Sept I suggest crawling on that date instead of the Thursday 26 Sept, as originally planned.
