And another one - literally arrived as I had sent this - so apologies for
clogging the old inboxes:
Hertfordshire Holly North West Clog have invited us to a charity dance out
in Hertford 11-1pm on 10th December as well. My aren't we popular...!
As I'm not around on Monday I'll add everything to the sign-up sheet so it
doesn't get forgotten about and if t could be decided about along with the
various other new things, that would be great.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Thank you an well done to everyone who came to Thrales Weekend - it was
great and we've had loads of positive comments from various teams/people
which is great. For anyone who has missed the social media storm - *we
WON the Beadnell!!!* We are now a prize-winning team as of Sunday, and
the proud owners of a singing fish trophy. I'm looking forward to the
pictures of it swimming around the Thrales trophies Becky... There are/will
be various videos floating around somewhere on facebook if anyone feels
they've missed out...
So, business for those that missed it (and a few additional items that
have come in since) - apologies for the long email again - we just seem to
have lots coming up!
1. November Crawl
2. Mabel Day
3. Chippenham
4. Sign-ups
5. Bedford Christmas Party
6. V Arts
7. York
1. The November crawl will be in either Stratford or Whitechapel probably
- Katherine is organising this and Carol has kindly agreed to play for us,
so all good..
2. Mabel Day - I think we now have enough of us to confirm. They have
promised Cake...
3. Chippenham - as agreed at the AGM, I have contacted Chippenham Folk
Festival to say that we would be interested in dancing there. We would
dance for 1 or 2 days, and if we dance on 2 days, then we get a half price
festival ticket (£58) and free camping (not the greatest offer, but it
would be dancing at a festival) - the same would apply to any partners etc
that we bring.
4. Sign-ups - please say whether or not you can make it to anything you
haven't already - this includes the Christmas Crawl; and the dance out with
Silver Flame and Earlsdon. Those of you that I added by hand on Monday - it
might be worth double checking that I've put your name in the right place
as I did manage to write one or two down on the wrong lines when I was
doing it (should all be correct though).
5. Bedford - we have an invitation from Fine Companions (
http://finecompanions.synthasite.com/) to dance at their Christmas Party
on 16th December in Bedford. This has come through someone Kate knows and
she will need to get back to him soon - so could people put some kind of
expression of interest or not either on the sign-up sheet, or just reply.
Bedford is relatively easy to get to on the train taking between 30 and 60
minutes.
6. Laura S has been emailed about something called V Arts on 10th December
in The Courtyard Theatre that we could potentially dance at. I don't have
much info about it beyond this:
"We are contacting you regarding a traditional dance and literacy evening
we are hosting on the 10th December at The Courtyard Theatre.
We are looking for 6 traditional dance acts that represent countries
within London and share their traditions. Through this we aim to bring
unity and joy.
Your society would be incredibly valuable to our production and as I am
English I am keen to have a highly talented group to represent our cultural
dance!
Here is a link to our event
https://www.facebook.com
/events/340335549654158/?ti=icl"
Please have a think abut whether this is somtehing that we'd be interested
in doing.
7. We decided to say no to the York weekend - mostly on account of it
being a long way to go to dance outside. I've since realised that this
would probably be the weekend that Bromyard is, which we also discussed
going to at the AGM (I will get around to looking into this soon, I
promise).
Have a great week or so and see you all soon!
Hannah :)
