Hi All,

Following on from last night's discussion we decided that we will ask for a 25% refund, 25% then goes towards the general DERT fund given to host teams to get them started. 50% of what we paid is non-refundable, so effectively we're splitting the other bit between us and DERT.
Emma kindly put this into the context of crawls for us the refund is equivalent to 1 crawl in pre-Covid times - so we will get £145, DERT will get £145. Our current funds are about £1600 - a little above October 2019, DART funds from our fundraising efforts to date are separate from this.

Discussion covered the point that there are up to 30 teams that are in a similar position - some may not be as well off as a team as us and not everyone will have entered as many people as we did, but even so there should be a good increase to the DERT pot. Keeping a bit for ourselves is potentially helpful - both for future DERTs / DART. We'll ask if they can share what the fund goes up to once all of this concludes out of interest and how this gets used but the next team (as potentially maybe interested one day hosts ourselves...) and are going to suggest that in the future if the fund needs increasing again, perhaps teams could be asked if they would be willing to help contribute.

If anyone has any issues or queries they would like to raise please let me know asap, and Emma feel free to correct any of the above if I'm quoting wrong!

Thanks,
Hannah

You mean, it's not the fund to buy slushies? What a waste.

Plan sounds good to me, I'll bring a summary of the accounts at present.

Hi All,

To follow up on this, we now have the official minutes from the DERT Steering group meeting, see attached, along with the Handover Statement from Whip the Cat.

We now need to decide as a team what we are going to do about the registration fees we paid for DERT 2020, the options are:
- 50% refund
- 25% refund and 25% to "DERT slush fund"
- 50% to  "DERT slush fund"

Any money in the slush fund will go towards increasing the DERT float, which currently sits at £1000, and providing security for future DERTs in case of unforeseen circumstances. This fund is to help the host team get things up and running. We need to make a decision on this by 30th April, so perhaps we could discuss on Monday?

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi All,

Minutes from our "post DERT" discussion the other day. I guess the key thing anyone who wasn't able to make it might be interested in is our plan for return to dancing when we are able. In summary, we need restrictions on social distancing to end in order for us to practice - currently the earliest this would be is 21st June. Following this, we would aim to do a crawl, noting that we may have to dance outside pubs at times depending on their opinions on it and any requirements at the time. Once we have had a crawl we can then look at events again, and will register interest in going to Bath Time at the end of October.
We would also want to check in with how people are feeling regarding this in case anyone has any concerns nearer the time. If you do, please let me or Becky know in the first instance.

While we still can't practice, we could potentially have the odd stepping practice within the guidelines - at the moment this is limited to 6 people (so 5 dancers and 1 musician). I will keep a close eye on guidelines if we do this, and the Morris Fed have a really helpful risk assessment to help organise this safely.

Otherwise, obviously we can meet socially! Once groups of 30 are allowed we'll organise an en masse Ravens meeting in a park somewhere. However, if you want to hang out with up to 6 ravens, please do - the spreadsheet we had last year is still around, although I think about 6 ravens have moved houses/are about to move house so it possibly needs updating. You don't have to have a whole postcode, you can just pop your general location in (e.g. Stockwell) which might help with working out who is nearby, who might be willing to travel in a favourable direction!

Hope you're all having a lovely week and hope to see some in person faces at some point soon!

Monday night zooms will obviously also continue!

Hannah
