Hi All, Firstly, excellent dancing at the weekend, even though it isn't our favourite surface - we definitely made a good impression, got some lovely comments and the organiser Shelley, from Wicked Belly, was very happy. Current:* *Laura's Community Festival *- as emailed earlier, please update yourselves, if you said something one way or another last night, I've added it in, if you were a maybe, could you please do your best to make that a Y/N as soon as possible please, as 15th September is fast approaching! *Goathland* - I have double checked getting there, and you can go via Britain's most scenic bus (once you've taken the train up most of the way), which is probably cheaper than taking the steam train there. Plus you would get the bonus of the steam train on the dance out they are proposing over the weekend anyway. *Wimborne* - still up there. *Crawls * - The September crawl still has a few people that need to reply *Thrales Day* - 11th November. Will be dancing as usual in a pub somewhere *2. New Invites:* *York DoD* - will check about pub dancing rather than the outside spots - depending on which way this goes, it will either appear on the sign-up sheet or disappear for another year. One I forgot to mention yesterday (there were so many!) is *Evesham* - 21-23 June 2019. Sounds like it comprises a coach tour of pubs/towns/villages in the Vale and Cotswolds. Evening, they have a session/singing/ceilidh and then on Sunday there is a procession and a show spot. Can either go for £18 for the Saturday day time (includes lunch) or whole weekend for £42 (includes cooked brekky, sat lunch and camping). Anyone fancy it? I'll put it on the sign-up sheet as I forgot to mention yesterday and I don't think I'll be at practice for a couple of weeks. They are keen to get us over there, so I suspect they will come back with some dates at some point - fingers crossed for next time! *Black Diamond Day of Dance* - we decided No. Though apparently Darlington does have some good pubs. *SDU and OM AGMs*, none of us really wanted to go.
