Hi All,
We're back! I'll email separately about Sidmouth (though there isn't too
much to worry about for the time being on that one). So to keep up momentum
for our exciting Summer of events:
1. New invites
2. Sign-ups needing attention
3. Summary of non-crawl events
1. We have been invited to do a workshop for Basingstoke SetsMad, they've
invited us once or twice before, so we should probably actually go. They
sent us a lovely message congratulating us for DERT and suggested that
there could even be some gin at the thing (there will definitely be
refreshments, sounds as though they will contribute to travel and pay the
Ravens account as well - so what's not to like!). Anyway, it's about 1.5
hours away from Waterloo by train&bus so fairly easy to get to. 22-23
September - we'll do one, so please specify if you have a preference when
signing up. (If you are in a position where you don't want to do Ravens
things two weeks in a row but are free for both this and the thing on 15th,
please give this one preference.)
2. Things needing attention. Crawls, obviously. We have crawls for the next
few months on the list, please sign up as soon as you can - we sometimes
find that some of the summer ones need rescheduling due to people being a
festivals / having holidays etc. so i'ts good to know as soon as we can if
we need to change the date.
Otherwise - the one mentioned above on 22/23 September and 15 September
Folk Dance Southampton. I'll confirm Croydon one way or another shortly.
3. If something says confirmed beside it it is going ahead. Crawls, assume
they are happening, the TBC refers to the location - which will get filled
in as crawl organisers decide where we are going. So, (non-crawl) events
that are definitely confirmed:
12 May Brockwell Park Fete
13 May Highams Park Spring Festival (vikings)
16 June St Albans Festival
8 July Sandwich Folk & Ale
3-10 August Sidmouth!!
2 Sept Faversham Hop Festival
