Hey all
Thank you to everyone who came to Sheffield this weekend. It was a lovely
day and we did some really good dancing so well done! I hope you all
enjoyed it and don't ache too much this morning.
Sheffield Steel gave us a bottle of Henderson's Relish as a gift, if anyone

1. Firstly quick push at the signup sheet:
A. To confirm there will be no team dancing at Janet's birthday as we don't quite have the numbers, please do go along if you're free though as I'm sure it'll lots of fun!
B. Please look at upcoming crawls, Thrales and Mabel Day as all of these (especially the hosted days) need confirming sooner rather than later.

2. We voted yesterday to give everyone who travelled to Sheffield and back for the weekend £20 towards their travel which Sue should be sorting out this week. If it gets too complex doing a bank transfer she may switch to cash.
3. There was a brief discussion of DERT, transportation and accommodation. I know it is very early to consider this but, especially with accommodation the sooner we can get it sorted the better. For this reason please put your name on the signup sheet regardless of if you have told me you are going or not!
4. Through Martin we have been invited to do a Ceilidh spot on 6th November in Hampstead. More information to follow but perhaps check your diaries.
5. Lastly a bit of a complaint! We have decided at the AGM (two years running) that if you can't make a practice you need to let Katherine know ASAP, at least 24 hours in advance unless you're actually ill or held up at work on the day. This isn't happening from quite a few people any more and it makes it very hard to plan what we are going to do. Either Katherine has to assume you aren't there, which means there won't be much for you to do when you turn up, or she has to re-plan every time someone doesn't turn up when they haven't told her. Each re-plan can make for a less focussed practice which isn't fair on Katherine or the people who have turned up!
Moan over, have a good week and see you on Monday :) Sadly I can't be there for Janet's birthday but I hope everyone has a lovely time!

Steel are going to take everyone's luggage who is arriving today from the york to the last pub in one car. This means no one has to drag it around :-)

Hi all,
If you're not going to Sheffield on Friday night you might want to come to The Foxglove Trio's last London gig of 2015. It will be at Lost Horizons Folk Club which takes place in the Birkbeck Tavern near Leyton tube station. Doors open at 7.30pm, music starts at 8pm and we'll be on at 10.10pm. Hello all,
Ss say everyone has beds and air beds so no need to worry on that front. Bringing a sleeping bag would be helpful as they don't think they have quite enough bedding.
They've also warned that there may be some sharing of double beds...but we're all close right??
They're also fine to collect everyone arriving on the Saturday by train so let me know times you want collecting!
Kate they think you'll be in time for breakfast :-)

Hopefully there will be one last email coming re. Sheffield confirming if you need bedding and any tips on how to get to The York but for now...
For those not at practice yesterday. Dancing kicks off around midday at The York. I know various people are coming by car so if you are please try to be in the area in plenty of time (not sure re. parking etc.)
I'm afraid I don't know how many pubs we're doing but the areas we will be in are: Broomshill and Crookes in the afternoon. Then Kelham in the evening finishing in the Shakespeare where there is a gin festival for us to get stuck into.
The York where we are all meeting is something of a trek from the station but please see this link for directions and suggested buses. Manny is also meant to be on hand for helping gather us all up but this might have to be done on a bit of an adhoc basis. Kate I know you're getting in about 10.35 and Janet more like 11.30? Lizzie??
