Hello all
Tonight we will be focusing on preparing for St Albans and our performance

See you later :)

Hello all,
1. St Albans2. Cecil Sharp kennedy Hall3. Stretham Ceildh Spot4. London Folk Fest5. Dance Around the World Festival6. Money back on trains to Ossett
1. St Albans (18th)
Aim is to be there midday, leaving at 5 at latest. Please be there in time to all be gathered together at midday so we can start dancing, not just arriving and needing to get changed!
Trains from Blackfriars and King's Cross take 30-45 minutes depending which one you get.
I've emailed St Albans re. joining in the final spot, looks to be about 15 mins walk from train station, I've asked if we could be placed close to 4 in the running order, so we'll see what he says.
2. Cecil Sharp, Kennedy Hall (18th)For those not with us in St Albans, we need to be arriving at Cecil Sharp by 6, I would recommend getting food en route to eat there, not confirmed that the cafe will be open and we will have plenty of time to eat but they're somewhat paranoid about having all the teams in place early. Our spot is 10 minutes long and will be earlier on in the evening so Rachel can transform herself into a bright pink Gog :)
3. 8th July - Streatham Ceilidh SpotThis is from the guy who keeps asking us and we keep not making a team! He will pay us £50 to do a couple of spots in the night, he's also said they can be closer together so we don't have to hang around. I'm aware Streatham isn't great for some people but we do need to respond to him!Hannah, Hannorah, Laura S, Reesha, Sue are the current none responders (sorry for naming and shaming!)
4. 3rd September - London Folk Fest and Cecil #He has been very vague as to what he wants, but it seems like either a late afternoon workshop/dance spot. If I could have a full response on numbers I can tell him if we can do either. Personally these things are good to do to attract new numbers and show we're awesome.
5. Dance Around the World Festival 23rd OctoberThis is the day after Laura Ws wedding (yaaaay) but again would be a good thing to appear at, if we can start having numbers that'd be great :)
6. We also discussed getting some money back on trainfares for going to ossett. As a team we decided £20 to each person seemed a reasonably fair reflection of helping people out. Please SUE can you sort this out as people contact you individually to request payment. Obviously if you have been made totally broke by trainfares please contact Sue and we can go from there.
7. June Crawl 23rd. Anyone who hasn't replied, please do, if the maybes could confirm either way it'd be useful as we have slightly odd combination of people. Kate if you can't make it can you put an appeal out so we can find someone else?

Thanks all, apologies it's so long!

Hi Katherine
Hope you enjoyed the rest of the weekend and had a good return journey. Just confirming that I won't be there tonight but I will be there next week.

Hi All
Hope those of you who went to Ossett had a fab time!
I did a very silly thing yesterday. I ate some mushrooms that were on the turn. Mac warned me, but I ploughed in regardless. Yep, you guessed it - I spent half the night throwing up. Lovely!
So the combo of sickness, lack of sleep & all over body-aches (cos I also did a 10k yesterday) mean I'm gonna take rain-check on tonight.
If you need the swords I have, let me know & I'll drop them round to the pub beforehand.

Hi all. Unless my plans change yet again I'm hoping to meet you at the market place by 11 am. Trains from Guiseley don't start early enough for me to get to the camp site or Wakefield in time for the procession. Is the market place near the town hall? I'm assuming it is. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. S x

Hey
I've not stayed on this campsite before however it is most likely to be
first person find a space for us.
We will be dancing with some really good teams so, as Becky says, it is
important we look presentable. I'm sure we will make a good impression :)
If people could let me know roughly when they're arriving it would be very
useful as I think it would be good to run through both dances either Friday
evening on Saturday morning. Also depending what time people are arriving
we may be able to pick you up from Wakefield station and save you the bus
journey.
Also just received our dance info for Saturday (attached). Looking forward
to it!

Hi all
Here is the doodle poll for this years summer practices:
http://doodle.com/poll/8swz74nzpvrzw3z8
Please fill it in over the next week so I can see if we will have to cancel
any practices and can plan them efficiently. This year I'm trialing a yes
and a maybe option for each date, so if you've not decided what you're
doing that week or know you get home on a Sunday and are not sure you'll be
up for practice tick M. This means even if you're not sure what you are
doing over the whole of summer you can still fill it in (you can always
update it later).
Many thanks

Hi all
Here are the details for anyone coming to Ossett.
CAMPERS:
Campsite opens at 3pm Friday and there is no set departure time on Sunday.
It is at a Cricket club so there are toilets, showers, parking ect. The
Cricket club itself will also be open Friday and Saturday night.
They are offering a reasonably priced breakfast Saturday 7:00-9:30 and
Sunday 8:00-10:30.
FRIDAY
Beerhall in Ossett Town Hall is open 7-11pm. Beer is £2:50 a pint, cider £3
plus they will be serving soft drinks and food (there are several food
alternatives near by).
At 8:15pm there is a beer tasting competition which we are invited to join
with if any representatives of the team are there.
SATURDAY
Procession leaves from the campsite at 9:45, some of us will help to pull
the beercart and the rest will process behind. There will be a van to take
bags to the market place.
There will be a ceremonial moving of beer at 11am and then we go off to
dance spots/pubs around the town- I don't have our schedule yet.
The Beerhall is open 11am-11pm.
SUNDAY
Teams will dance from around 11am-1pm in the market place - this spot is
optional but I think if we still have a team we should at least do a couple
of dances.
If you don't have it already my number is
*07403608579 *
