Hello lovely ravens!
Just thought I'd send a tiny update on vaguely rapper related things.
Thanks to those that filled in the socially distanced travel spreadsheet, I
think we're still only allowed 6 people max (ish) in a meet-up
guidelines-wise, so probably can't technically organise something for the
whole team yet... However you can at least see who is reasonably close to
you, so mini-meet-ups could continue to be a thing (which I know some of
you have already been doing ☺ )

If you fancy reading it, the latest issue of Dancing On is now digital:
https://open-morris.org/dancing-on/dancing-on-summer-2020/
Even though we can't dance or practice yet (though I guess a socially
distanced outdoor clog could technically happen..), there are still good
things happening in the world of morris such as the JMO announcement on
Black Face - no teams will now be insured if they wear full face black or
skin makeup. Also to help fill that festival hole, some of them are
preparing some virtual content (Sidmouth drawing to a close now, but there
were some nice photos of us at the Morris Wednesday Party in our Tube
station bird outfits)
Eilidh is trying to pull together something for a virtual Beck Hole type
thing (Whitby Tuesday evening fun), the original deadline was 7th August,
but not sure if this has changed. Anyway they wanted stories, images or
videos of it - not sure if we actually have any photos barring some on the
steam train on the way there!
And it looks like Emily (Sheffield Steel) might be pulling together some
stuff from Whitby parades (currently asking for 2015 and 2016 videos), so
hopefully there might be some of us from last year appearing too. Either
way there will be some stuff to keep us entertained that week.
Whittlesea Strawbear 2021 has been cancelled due to uncertainty and the
issues with organising the festival in a Covid world. However in addition
to the calendar that Clare mentioned, they are also drawing together a
virtual offering instead. Rebecca has asked "if any of you would like to
participate in some way, please do contact me! It would be lovely to have a
showcase of teams broadcast on our website/facebook page on the weekend, if
there is any footage you have or can create during the lockdown or within
current government guidelines, then great, otherwise maybe some footage
that you have from previous strawbear festivals would be good too." Did we
have anything from earlier this year? I'm not proposing we create things,
unless anyone really wants to!
And finally a little update from DERT 2021:
"Just a quick update on next year's event:- we are currently planning for
some sort of physical DERT next year, while looking at how to make it work
for individuals or teams who cannot or prefer not to attend, seeing as the
virus disappearing by March is about as likely as someone laughing at the
rubber hand gag. There is a shadow of a chance of the dates changing as our
would-be showcase venue has announced that they will be closed until April
at the soonest, so perhaps don't rush to book your travel and accommodation
just yet; we will also have to keep the feasibility of hosting a large
gathering under review. Watch this space though - we are doing our best,
and will keep you posted. Sorry if that's a bit mirthless, we do have some
exciting promotional materials in the post, even as I type🎉
See you all soon(-ish, hopefully)!"
"See" you on Monday!
Hannah
Well, yes... that is the name of the game.
For tomorrow's call you need to think of two truths and one lie about
yourself. We will take it in turns to present our three statements, there
can be a few questions from other Ravens to acquire a little more
information to help decide (though no, is this one the lie!).
We will then all vote on which one was the lie. Keep score of each point
you get and we'll see who is the best lie detector in the team!
See you tomorrow at 1930

Now then
Cheers for zooming our goats with us. We hope it gave you a laugh during
the current zombie apocalypse training we're all undergoing.
If so, we'd love it if you tagged us in any posts about it (@cronkshawfold
farm on insta/ twitter/ fb) or drop us a review on the google machine/ fb.
If you didn't like it definitely do not do either of the above! Haha!
Remain awesome,

Hi All,
Following on from Becky's suggestion that we could try and organise some
kind of socially distanced meet up once restrictions lift further, I've put
the following spreadsheet together to help work out places that may be good
for most people.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZlZ9QoJTF0C7c_suG4SWp7TVYG02HrQvGf-…
For location I don't mind what level of detail you want to give - I've put
my full postcode since half of you have already been here, but could have
put just SE11 or even Vauxhall or the Vauxhall City Farm, whatever you
personally feel most comfortable putting on there.
If you could also give a rough indicator of an approximate maximum distance
in miles that you would be willing to travel at the moment. Doesn't matter
if it is 1 mile or all the way to Barnard Castle ☺
Hope that all makes sense, miss you all and look forward to seeing people
as and when stuff is allowed
Hannah
Morning all. Hope you had a good weekend. Looking forward to seeing you all
tonight. Details about what we're up to will follow later. In the meantime,
please can you find/think about making a buzzer for yourself. A bell, a
drum, a tin whistle, clapping hands, a horn, a kazoo, a melodian, a cacaw!
Whatever you've got in your house, or a weird and unique sound you can
make! See you at 7.30pm xx

Hi everyone,
Here's the link for tonight's zoom. We'll be playing 'Who Am I?'. You will
need a pen and paper, something bigger than a post-it for this version
though.

Hello all,
Just wanted to check-in with all of Ravens!
I'm keeping in touch with quite a few people in our Monday zooms, which is lovely but I know doesn't work for everyone.
While I hope everyone who comes to zooms enjoys it I want to emphasise again that no-one should feel obliged to do so if they don't want to, are working late, have internet problems, don't feel up to socialising or in general can't face it! Whatever happens, we'll still be a team when we all get back together again :)
Saying that, if there is anyone who doesn't make the zoom chats but would like to socialise in some other way, please do let me know and I'll see what we can organise. Would a different day work? Or a different format? Obviously, we can't accommodate everything but I don't want anyone feeling left out!
For those who regularly attend zoom chats, thank you! I hope changing the host each week is working? Personally, I've loved seeing the different topics, and now games that people have been suggesting. Similarly, people who've kept in touch on whatsapp, it's lovely to keep the dialogue going 🙂🙂
For those I've not heard much from, I hope you're doing ok still, if you want to get in touch please do, or if you just want to see us when practice resumes that will be great too!
Take care,
Becky
