I think the first bit of back 8 (before the bit where Hannorah expects us to stop) looks
alright. We've got good at coming to the front before turning out but the reason it
can get a bit bunched up is because we're not always as good at going all the way to
the back of the set before joining again. There should always be 3 people in the central
alley and one on each side but occasionally we end up with 4 in the middle which there
isn't enough room for. Something (else) to be aware of tonight! X

Thanks for uploading this Ffion.
I wish I could grow a few inches in the next two weeks - my shortness is ruining the
symmetry somewhat.
Agree with all your points Laura. 'Back Ache' has always been a
'headache' in terms of messiness. Think the one on the film is even worse than
usual as I didn't wait for the call & went to go into open ring too early - hance
the added mess at the end.
I'm up for any recommendations on how we make it better, as when done well it can
look amazing.
I'm not saying it's the snappiest version, but I remember Sheffield Steel's
version looked OK last year & they seemed to do it a bit slower, & the set was a
bit loser somehow too:

Although watching this clip filled me full of encouragement - because other that that our
dance is so much better now than there's was last year - as all the seem to do is fig
8 & curlies for half of it. So as long as they haven't improved at all (unlikely)
- then we'll thrash them! :-)

it's getting pretty slick. We mentioned a couple of things that we needed to improve
after we watched it on Monday, those being:

little messy. It looks as if we're all just piling round as quickly as we can. And
whilst I think speed is good, I think that timing is better. Is there a way that we can
time it so that each person does a sharp turn on each or every other beat? Is that what we
are meant to be doing anyway???
